I would like to see a North America Fan Fest. I think with the size of the fan base in the USA you would get a very large turnout. it would also pull a lot of fans from places like AUS they have to connect in the USA to get to Iceland so a north America fan fest would be easer for them to. Cost with the current exchange rates having one in the US would save a lot for the fans that wish to travel from the UK or EU as well as save CCP on things like facility costs (the USD is crap atm) .

This actually makes sense... although it is cheaper to fly to Iceland from the UK than to USA....
On the other hand, Virgin and BA, and smaller "budget" UK airlines have almost ridiculously cheap tickets to USA, particularly NYC/San Francisco and Florida destinations.
Current exchange rate could make a "shopping" trip quite affordable for allot of Brits.

There have been Fan Fests arrnged in USA where the devs have participated in. If I remember correct there where a reasonably large gathering 2 years ago where CCP actually sent a Dev to. They have also added lately (still if I remember correct) now that they have their own CCP department in USA it is reasonably easy to send more devs to such arrangements. BUT - afaik - there have never been any talks about a official fanfest in USA in the same manners as you find on Iceland today.

The only.... "fanfest" like event that I am aware of was organized by Blackhole Bob, and it was Las Vegas player gathering, yes, devs showed up, and I still have Q&A from that place somewhere in my iTunes.
Thats about the only thing that happened in USA which relates to "fanfest" like activities with the Dev participation, that I know of. I am fairly certain that I am not mistaken, unless someone wants to jog my memory; but, as I said, this was the only one as far I remember.
