I know I'm probably going to be on the receiving end of a large campaign of verbal assaults here but I have searched the forum, tried the "advancedDevice=1" thing and I get no options like described.
I used to use the nVIDIA Control Panel but as we all know that's gone up the creek I have no AA or AF.
This is my pref.ini:
advancedDevice=1 bloom=1 clusterMode=LOCAL clusterName=<My computers name> debug=0 decimal=. digit=, eulaagreed=0 hdrEnabled=1 host=0 inputhost=localhost languageID=EN messagePeriod=200 movecapturedone=1 network=0 networkAdvanced=0 newbie=0 port=26000 resourceCacheSize=256 trinityVersion=dx9
This is my shortcut:
"C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\eve.exe" /end /LUA:OFF
When reading through another thread that said add the " /end /LUA:OFF" to my shortcut I lost all my settings in eve... So I now have to redo all my overview settings, which leads me to another thing. Where are the overview settings kept? So I can back them up. --------------------

The problem is that you have HDR enabled, which prevents AA by default. Do a bit of searching, I think someone came up with a way to use nHancer to create a profile that allows AA and HDR. ---- FREE Explorer Lead Megalomanic EVE Automated Influence Map |

Edited by: Ishina Fel on 30/05/2008 08:54:35 The "advancedDevice" setting became outdated with the release of the Trinity expansion. It is no longer used for anything, and ignored by the game.
Here is a thread about a NVidia tool that can force AA & HDR together in EVE.
(Note: It didn't work for me exactly as described - I had to fiddle with the settings a bit, but now it works. Makes EVE a sexy babe to look at.)
Also, the LUA Off switch has nothing to do with graphics. It simply saves your settings files in a different location. I recommend you remove the switch again, and your old settings will be back.

Edited by: Maya Sollow on 01/06/2008 04:13:45 Settings are stored in the settings dir of your eve install folder if you use the switch /LUA:0ff
If not, then they are stored in, iirc For Win XP C:\Documents and Settings\"your user"\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE\"install folder"
No clue about Vista.
Backup all the .dat files. PC is settings The rest are the window and OV settings etc.
I did go through these 1 by 1 a while back to see what they changed. Now i just copy them all to a new folder when a patch comes out, then move them back after patching.
No fun to put those tab and OV settings back in again after an update.
*edit* you will have user and char dat files for each account logged in with on that client and each char on those accounts in the folder.
