Ok so I want to explain this as simple as I can. I've been running missions in Caldari Space, for the Spacelane Patrol Corp. If my agents are not of Caldari race does my Caldari faction not rise? I have been doing quite a few of these and my Spacelane Patrol is at 2.73, while my Caldari faction just sits at 0.26. Any help?

Edited by: Hamarkon Isloan on 31/05/2008 16:39:22 You only get a faction increase from a mission that states it is an important mission which will affect your faction standing. These include storyline agent missions, some event agent missions and COSMOS agent missions. The statement will be in the mission details, usually in italics below the main text discription, but before the objectives and rewards. A storyline agent gives a mission after 16 completed missions of each level with any corp of each faction: 16 Spacelane level 1 missions will get you a level 1 caldari faction storyline mission.

Ok so if I complete an agent, to where I just get the same mission over and over again, does that count as one of the 16, or should I go find a new agent?

You can't "complete" an agent. Once in awhile the "random" number generator for EVE screws up and you get 4 of the same mission in a row, which is anoying.
The way you improve Faction standing is: Run 16 missions for the same faction, same level of agent. You may need to run for the same corp as well, but I know for a fact the 16 missions do not have to be with same agent. When those 16 missions are completed, the nearest Storyline Agent will send you a message. You will also see an "Important-" missions show up in your Journal, as well as the agent's info show up in the "Agents of Interest" section when docked in a station.

You cannot "complete" an agent.
You get a Level 1 storyline mission for running 16 level 1 missions for the same faction.
You get a Level 2 storyline mission for running 16 level 2 missions for the same faction.
You get a Level 3 storyline mission for running 16 level 3 missions for the same faction.
You get a Level 4 storyline mission for running 16 level 4 missions for the same faction. ------------

This makes it sounds as if you only get one storyline mission per level, which is not true.

Someone badly needs to train up their social skills.
