Hey... I was thinking it would be really cool if there was tech II named gear... and the only way you could get it is from Tech II Spawns in 0.0 space...
I know there are already faction/officer spawns.. and that is cool....
Though it would even be more cool/crazy if there were tech II spawns that dropped Tech II named Gear like a Tech II 1600MM Thungsten plate ..... But they only drop from spawns.... I.e No invention or crap like that....
I also think that it would help encourage people to move out to 0.0 space.... last i heard like over 80% of the eve player base live in empire.... Supposedly Faction warefare is going to be a sort of bridge to help the transition out of empire and into 0.0....
I think that having Tech II spawns with Tech II named gear, that can only aquired in 0.0 space would be the Icing on the cake to help Phacilitate this transition from empire to 0.0 space....
Also CCP could make these spawns more spread out, so that all those crappy true sec systems can be fixed.....

There would be all the named mods in tech II form...
and the chances of a techII spawn would be more likely than a elite-faction/officer spawn...
The mods should take more pg and cpu then the faction equivalent (so that faction and officer mods would be more desirable)
Also there are lots of versions of the named gear so the lesser ones would be more common to drop and the better ones like best named would be more rare...

I am suggesting you go into an astroid belt in 0.0 and you see there is a NPC Assault frig.. lets say an enyo.... you kill it and it drops 2 tech II 125mm compressed coil Guns.
Sure you can make some new meta levels if you like...
My reasoning? i think it would be really cool....
Plus these spawn would be only avaliable in 0.0 space.... Hence making more people want to move out of empire and into 0.0....

this
yes yes i know its facilitate..... i had googled the word... did not bother to check if it was a real word... just to see the did you mean message... lol.....
I was also thinking how would there be Tech II spawns and not have them be specific factions... like angle or sansha's.... So i came up with the idea that these tech II spawns arnt really spawns... they are more like NPC pod pilots! They could work for the specific manufacture of the mods... like if you ran into a Deimos spawn it would say like Jean Luc who works for Duvolle Labs!
I mean could you imagine you come into a belt and there is some NPC pod pilot killing the rats? So not only do you get to kill the rats... you also get to kill the NPC pod pilot.... Who ends up dropping 3 Tech II modal neutron particle accelerators!!!

If its mostly high sec, and low sec is more empty....
then make it so most frig and half the Cruiser spawns happen in low sec...
and have the rest like bc and bs spawns in 0.0....
plus i would not think that 0.0 would be safer due to there being an influx people moving into 0.0 space

What is however possible, is, similar to augmented drones, to add BPC drops that builds upon a tech 2 item.
very true... what i was suggesting would have rendered all that work useless...
Insted of the Spawn dropping the mod its self.... lets incorporate broken data-cores into the mix.. The spawn would drop them insted.
Each data core would contain fragments of the bpc for a Tech II named mod... Once enough of a specific type is collected then one can invent the Tech II version (with a limited amount of copies)
For the lower end meta levels... they would require less data cores... as for the higher end ones... they would require more data cores... plus some rare ones .... (this would make the higher named mods harder to make)
The mods would require simular amounts of all that moon dust to make... probs a bit more... plus you would need the Tech I version of the mod to make the Tech II version...
I think this would satisfy the industry people out there... and make the ratters happy too

There should be a hunt after the BPC, not a life long journey after the parts.
I tend to favor having the damaged/fragmented data-cores.... For one main reason: It gives you choice..... Rather than chance.....
You can make the possiblility of finding one of the rare damaged/fragmented data-cores = to the hypothetical rate of which a higher meta level tech II drop would occur.
Like if you find one of the more common damaged/fragmented data-cores, then you use a meta 2 mod and you can invent the Tech II BPC for it.(one basic data-core for each kind of mod like a damaged armor enhanced data-core) And then there would be one rare Data-core for each type of mod...
Once you have the bpc you can take your Tech II basic mod and then do this part:
Originally by: El'essar Viocragh A named EANM II could use up a stock EANM II, two of each racial t2 armor plate construction components, two of each racial t2 capcitor unit components, some morphite and R.A.M Armor/Hull.
I think if you do it this way you can rat with friends and both you could find two of the same data-cores and you can then invent a meta-3 Tech II rather then just have 2 Tech II meta 2 bpc's.
