Or people can start to realize that Eve insurance is like RL insurance in name only, as per design, and that Eve insurance isn't really dumb, but people who think it should be like RL are.

Removing insurance from concord losses will make any ship not fitted with at least 1 or 2 billion worth of modules 100% safe from ganking and thats not summat that should be done tbh.
Now if you want the insurance to reflect RL then the police should reflect RL police and turn up 3-30 mins after the gank and ask for details of what happened before giving you a crime number and buggering off.

Yeah, but if they do catch you, that's it, goodbye lecrotta char, or whatever char did the crime. Locked in a cell for 40 years forward.
And it won't make any ship 100% safe, it will just bring some cost to ganking, that's all.

While ppl implying that ppl who suggest making tweaks to game mechanics are 'dumb' are really, really smart!!!
Would be fun though, RL like insurance, would mean something like anyone ever suiciding would never ever get insurance again and traders paying insane amounts of insurance fees.

The problem with suicide ganking is simply that CONCORD ends up protecting the gankers rather than the targets.
If I see 10 BS clustered around a gate in 0.0 and I want to go through that gate with something, I get on the horn with my buddies and we go blow them up.
If I see 10 BS clustered around a gate in highsec and I want to go through that gate with something, I have no option to remove the nuisance. Instead, CONCORD shoots me for aggressing.
That's the flaw.

agreed, i also hate how WTs and Blinky Flagged People can dock up, i can't understand why stations let them dock despite the sentries shooting at them. I also hate undock point PVP... 15 sec docking timer is too good.

Cost to ganking ....ganking has already a high cost , first because when u destroy a ship most of cases the good loot is destroyed too , also are full of loot stealer and if u use alts u have high chance to get lag on the hauler when Concord spawns so u lose the loot , and the most expensive part of ganking is growing up back the sec status , for every kill u need to spend around 2 hours in 0.0 NPC-ing ..... ANd just to know , not all pirates are affected by insurance , if u go in the areas with suicide gankers u will see plenty of them using bombers and i don't think they insure that ships

Ganking should really be more about picking targets than just suiciding on anything with a faction mod simply because the cost of operations after insurance payout, etc is so low.
That said, when things like this appear on grid - that's a totally justifiable suicide target.
