Isn't It Ironic?

Oftherocks Caldari Navy Volunteer Task Force	Posted - 2008.06.03 01:28:00 - [1] Isn't it ironic that the cheese eating surrender monkeys (aka the Gallente), and the perpetual victims of the universe (aka the Minmatar), are the agressors spoiling for a fight? One would think based off current media accounts that either the Caldari State or the Amarr Empire would be the ones rattling sabers, but instead we see the sneaky Gallente and their allies the pirate Minmatar pushing for a bloody war. I guess actions speak much louder than hollow talk. Hopefully the State and the Empire won't be as forgiving as they have been in the past and this time they crush the war mongers once and for all

CONCORD provide consequences, not safety; only you can do that.

The Caldari look to the bottom line, which is usually the benefit to their society as a whole and not an ISK figure. Economic power, military might, and technological superiority are their goals and tools, since they lack an overwhelming degree of any of these it is hardly beneficial to go to war at this time. Indeed the very threat of war on the horizon requires a restructuring of the State to ensure it is even ready to fight an outside threat. The Amarr have had two peaceful emperors of late, not the mention the fact that even a warlike one knows that the reclaiming is going to need a bigger force than they can field. Now would be a time for the Empire to build towards conquest or defense, not to go making another ill-prepared attempt at re-reclaiming the Minmatar. This and various social and political factors leave the Gallenteans and Minmatar as the easiest people to manipulate into setting the cluster aflame. The real question isn't why they are prompting war, but who is setting up the dominoes that are pressuring them in this direction. - in before "CCP" or "the Enheduanni".
