Isn't it ironic that the cheese eating surrender monkeys (aka the Gallente), and the perpetual victims of the universe (aka the Minmatar), are the agressors spoiling for a fight? One would think based off current media accounts that either the Caldari State or the Amarr Empire would be the ones rattling sabers, but instead we see the sneaky Gallente and their allies the pirate Minmatar pushing for a bloody war.
I guess actions speak much louder than hollow talk. Hopefully the State and the Empire won't be as forgiving as they have been in the past and this time they crush the war mongers once and for all

They are spoiled little brats that have been pitied for too long and are now showing their true colors - now the Caldari and Amarr have a excuse to put the whiny *****es in their place
And the Jovians are recluses, they aren't interested in the galaxy - just trying to cure their inbreed disorder. ____________________

Bah.. The Jove are way to nerdy to conquer the galaxy. The only reason they beat the Amarr is because at that time the Amarr were a little too unflexible on fleet tactics. This time around I think things would be much different.

Nah, dunno about that. Only 1-2 ships out there can one-shot a Apocaplyse and/or whipe out a entire fleet of crusiers/frigs in almost no time at all And how many of our Motherships have a single laser cannon with the damage output of a Moros/Phoenix put together? ____________________

Lies. A noted peace activist and builder of bridges throwing away the lives of a dedicated crew? The shielding and anti-collision equipment on-station just Happened to be offline? Whats that, the State seemed ready to give up their so-called peace talks and pound the war drums in a record-breaking second and a half of this assumed attack?
Lies wrapped in propaganda against the Gallente. I see the assassination, in character as well as physically, of a hero and a crew of patriots. I see Boardroom Scum, Crushing the bodies of their own people to add more fuel to the new unjust war they hunger to start.
They cannot abide our freedom. They can no longer tell their people that they are triumphant. They started the last war and they are committed to starting another, no matter the cost.
A war based on ledger-book ink.
Decide to be a pawn, or to stand like free men. Take the outstretched hand of peace, as brothers and friends, before your self-appointed "State" officials throw you into the furnace of their shiny war machine.

"The Jovians escaped the chaos that followed the closure of EVE remarkably well. Within the space of only a few centuries they had recovered, and were once again running a hi-tech society. They settled in a number of systems and founded an empire lasting for nine millennia, but even if the Jovians are by far the most technologically advanced of the races of EVE, they have still not recovered the splendor of their first empire. The disease within them keeps them in a reproductive straitjacket, preventing them from increasing their numbers sufficiently for their current empire to flourish."

Not all is at it seems, young one. There is no "good" or "bad" side here, just shades of grey. If you can't see through the deceptions I ask you to refrain from judgement, because certainly what you see on the news is the least believable account. Instead, ask yourself: who has something to gain by this? Who loses? War is only a profitable venture for those people who manipulate others into getting killed for them. But this is not only about money. There is a force in this universe, which is right at this moment gaining momentum, and power, controlling the conflict from the shadows.
Reason will once more be substituted by battleships and guns. We all will have to decide where our allegiance lies, and there is only death waiting at the end of the line.

Because terrorists and democracies don't start wars, right?
The Caldari look to the bottom line, which is usually the benefit to their society as a whole and not an ISK figure. Economic power, military might, and technological superiority are their goals and tools, since they lack an overwhelming degree of any of these it is hardly beneficial to go to war at this time. Indeed the very threat of war on the horizon requires a restructuring of the State to ensure it is even ready to fight an outside threat.
The Amarr have had two peaceful emperors of late, not the mention the fact that even a warlike one knows that the reclaiming is going to need a bigger force than they can field. Now would be a time for the Empire to build towards conquest or defense, not to go making another ill-prepared attempt at re-reclaiming the Minmatar.
This and various social and political factors leave the Gallenteans and Minmatar as the easiest people to manipulate into setting the cluster aflame.
The real question isn't why they are prompting war, but who is setting up the dominoes that are pressuring them in this direction.
- in before "CCP" or "the Enheduanni".
Personally I suspect the Jove either as a counter-play against the Enheduanni (provided they aren't actually a Joivian faction and that they exists at all) or as a stimulus to further the development of the capsuleers in their ongoing project to cure the Joivian disease.
