The state of the BIG Lottery so far
Number of participants so far : 138
Value of tickets sold so far : 30,958,000 ISK
Pot size including donations : 55,958,000 ISK
Somewhat better numbers than last round around this time.
But it's really not good enough...
If it wasnt for our gracious sponsor (FA), we'd be loosing a lot of ISK each time (because of the 50M ISK guarantee).
I'm willing to bet any amount of ISK that this will change the next round though  (read below)

* The Fountain Alliance(FA) who has claimed the Fountain Region and closed it of to anyone but FA members, is offering non-FA pilots the oppertunity to buy hunting passes for the region (mining not allowed).
The cost of a passport is 1M ISK per day - or 5M ISK for a whole week.
If given a passport you will easily be able to make up the cost of the passport within an hour or so from collecting bounties (and rare loot) - The rest of the time it's pure profit 
To apply for a passport - contact a FA pilot.
BIG Lottery 1 year anniversary
Next round (the 27th) marks the 1 year anniversary of the BIG Lottery.
And we of course want to mark the occation by making that round 'special'.
Anyone ever heard of a "Bougnisarin Megathron"? 
Didnt think so - But that is what will be up for grabs at the 1 Year Anniversary BIG Lottery (#27).
More info will be made available after mondays drawing of this (the 26th) round, but rest assured, thats one Megathron you'd like to get your hands on
Watch out for a Special Edition of the BIG Games newsletter on monday.
Remember the drawing of this, the 26th, round of the BIG Lottery is on monday May 10th 1800 EVE time (GMT) in ingame channel 'BIG Games.

After having read the now locked topic in the General forum I must say this: I don't see anything wrong with CCP giving a bonus or helping out in some other way with such long lasting and popular player events. Perhaps giving a new one-of-the-kind BS is a bit over the top, I'll let others decide on that.
But should that be the case, why doesn't CCP help out in this by giving a smaller bonus reward, say, spawning an interceptor of the winners choice in his hangar? That would be a nice bonus along with the ISK they win to kit it out well, but it won't be a universe changing, game unbalancing whatever that one might think this new BS would be.
Just an idea.
Oh, and keep up the good work BIG.

(Crosspost from General Discussion)After gathering all the information from TornSoul and the person responsible inhouse (he's in Africa), I am allowing this to procede, according to our new policies regarding increased player participation in prime fiction and full support for player events.
The intention behind this is to show support to an player event thas has been held regularly for almost a year now and to show the community that we will further support player events in the future.
However, due to the questions raised here regarding favoritism and so everyone have a fair chance, I'm taking the following measures:
A) No BIG member is allowed to participate in the lottery.
B) BIG does not profit from this in any way. I will audit them myself to ensure this
C) There is a maximum limit of 1000 tickets pr. character (each @1000 ISK = 1M ISK)
D) We'll be giving an Imperial Apocalypse, not the Bougnisarin Megathron. The Mega was slated for another deployment.
E) If I see that ship on eBay, I'll trash it faster than you can say PayPal.
Now, that being said, you should get a ticket, you might get lucky

If you read the rules on the lotto, you'd see that there are no Refuns. People that send to much money, Thank you for donating to BIG. There is a reason for this though: Doing the lottois a LOT of work, and it's ALL done by TornSoul him self. so, be carefull sending ISK don't send more then 1mil, read the rules all carefully please.
1000 (1mil isk) per person.
refuns are to much paper work please be careful with your ISK.
P.S.- I am assuming this lotto is fallowing the standerd lotto rules.

Clarification
The rules were one could buy as many tickets as he wants. I sent the isk before the new rules made known. So that's the point.
And no, do I look like an idiot?

I don't see the problem here - presumably this money was for round 26 which is not constrained by the new rules. If BIG Games are following their usual cycle, and I cant see why they wouldnt, they wont be accepting money towards round 27 until after round 26 is drawn (which hasn't happened yet - round 26 is drawn on Monday 10th at 18:00 Eve time).

Since you (Kalkalot) sent in the money before midnight afaik it's entered to round 26.

The new rules *only* apply to round 27 (The one year anniversary round).
So if you send ISK before midnight between the 9th and 10th, you are entered into round 26 under the normal rules.
There will more more info available later today (when i get back home)about how round 27 is going to be run.
Please understand that all this was finally decided in the very last minute - and kinda changed previously planned (and prepared) material.
Look out for a Special Edition of the BIG Games newsletter later.

Oveur, not to sound to negative, I really do like it that ccp get involved with player run events.
Giving big a nice price for their anniversary lottery is a great idea.
But an Imperial Apoc is the wrong price.
It was supposed to be given only to the Champions.
Please rethink that, and give something else, maybe something with a bit more symbolic character, not one of the best pvp ships.
Why not have some role in an event being the price? or something like that. Maybe something less material.
If something material, anything but ships from the Amarr championship.
Keep up the good work, nice to see that effort. |

erm not sure why you'd use the imperial in combat as curently the ship is broken. and yea i kinda agree with arthur the description alone states you can only get it by extream service to the emporer let me post the description for those who don't know
