Mining question> how do avoid asteroid popping primaturely.

Then a time later I got a hulk, and now asteroids pop left and right, and there is no clue to when they pop so the activation time of the strip miners could have depraved me of my beloved ore. So what can I do to try to resolve this`? Instead of waiting for the cycles to end on the strip miners is it good to deactivate them from time to time, and get the ore, and then reactivate them? just wondering.. ty Jita Beer, cool, cold, green, and clear.

They make a mental list of the 10 highest batting averages of all time, count backward from 100, recite the Pledge of Allegiance--anything to put distance between themselves and their fear of pop their roid too quickly. What is surprising to most miners is that these attempts at distraction--mental or physical--can make the roid pop even more quickly. Not what they bargained for! In addition to focusing away from enjoying mining, the miner is distanced from his mining sensations and responses. A key aspect of Staying Power is the ability to keep in contact with your sensations and when roid pop is about to happen. Miners who have problems with premature roid poping don't know when they are about to pop and thus cannot control it. By making the miner more out of contact with his tool, these attempts to distract and dull sensations make the problem even worse. An approach that works better is to be physically, mentally, as well as emotionally, involved with the act of mining. Here are some simple methods to help you along. One is to use positions that provide less intense friction to the mining laser--like having the roid on top. cycling more slowly also helps to delay poping. Mining therapists working with miners with serious problems controlling popping use a series of exercises called Sensate Focus. These shared progressive touch activities help both miner and roid become increasingly familiar with their own and each other by concentrating on their physical sensations and reactions. First they focus on sensations of being targeted and locked on to in different areas, excluding the veldspar, and work gradually up to being genitally mined. The Stop-Start technique is often used when the mining op begin setting up and move to actual mining. During set up/mining the miner cycles a few times and then stops if he senses he's about to pop. This is repeated until he eventually feels in greater control. One thing that clinicians actively discourage is apologies. Miners who are worried about not lasting long enough are often anxious and apologetic during and just after popage. This makes their partners more tense and further interferes with their ability to be physically, mentally and emotionally in the mining op encounter. What makes mining good in general also makes for good Staying Power. Good mining is based on good communication between partners. It is also based on working out issues in the relationship so that emotional pressures do not distract from mining. So, for better Staying Power, don't distract yourself by counting backward from 1000, don't use a desensitizing cream or feel guilty about having popping. Be more fully emotionally and physically available to your veldspar, master your responses and ENJOY a deeper sense of mining intimacy. Other advice: Hit different rocks with your strips, don't pile them on the same rock. If you use drones then get within their optimal range of the rock but have them mine off a different rock as well, then it should be fairly easy to tell how long a rock will last for with a scanner based on your m3/cycle. I tend to de-activate and re-activate the lasers if I am getting to the point the rock is about to die or when I am getting close to full cargo/can/whatever. Just be aware you can bleed your cap dry doing it a lot.
