TCF is a French-speaking alliance created 2 or so years ago, etc.

I'll tell you about how a big alliance operates, etc.
TCF is run by a pseudo-council made up of CEOs and Directors from all of the member corporations, but only 2 or 3 of them (the trusted leadership and/or most powerful, knowledgeable voices) really make any decisions - everybody else pretty much just rides with whatever they say 'cause they've gotten this far without a failure cascade, right?
They recently replaced their FC, btw, but that really doesn't have anything to do with anything else so let's move on.
Now I'll tell you how you disseminate information in time of conflict.
You wither tell your people everything and lay all the information out for the spies in your ranks to report back to their masters in a timely manner...
Or you don't tell your people everything so that when you DO have to tell them, the spies are left scrambling to get this information to their masters, but if you've done it right, by that time it will be too late for it to matter - alea iacta est.
TCF's leadership holds stuff back. Everyone knows this. They had a corp leave TCF and join GoonSwarm. It was LDLQ. They were in USA Timezones and that was part of the reason they went switched from TCF to OHGOD, but not the whole reason.
Anyway, TCF tells its members "We're the best, our enemies are few and weak, prepare for war!". When they lose, they tell their people stuff to keep morale high, like "meh, it was lag. CCP's hardware is inadequate for these epic scale fleet battles. BoB planned this in their 2006 bbq, there was nothing we could do about it tbqfh. (( )).
They never say "guys, we suck - we should all just quit and go ride bikes through Arc de Triomphe." Doing this, they held fast in Tribute for 2 months when they were outclassed ((idk about that conflict, were TCF outclassed there? I don't even know where Tribute is...))
TCF loves their friends, except RA ((but RA did just reset them, right?)) They hate BoB and anybody else who is red or neutral - NBSI ftl :(
Their members love being in TCF and try to bolster each others' morale, even going so far as to try to convince one member not to leave.

Why did TCF tell its members "We Are Nice Guys"? I thought that was just a goon sig thing.
Nowadays, anyone who leaves TCF and becomes an enemy has a very hard time getting back in. I don't understand why they don't have a revolving door policy - recidivism should be as high in EVE alliances and corps as it is in American prisons. ((I did 6 years, thank god I haven't screwed up again yet in the 3 years I've been out so far))

There's other internal bickering but I won't go into that, just take my word for it, they all really hate each other.
TCF is failing because of doing all this stuff that anybody in their position would be doing, and their leadership all knows it, but for some reason they keep doing what they do.
They don't let people post political stuff on public forums, 'cause they want to control their PR tightly - evil fascist news-mongers.
To finish this, the last 3 cap kills on TCF's killboard were mostly goon fleets with a few TCF guys helping out in a Goon offensive.

TL;DR Version: TCF is a large, fairly powerful 0.0 alliance that operates pretty much like any large, fairly powerful 0.0 alliance.
What happened here is, the OP tries very hard but still winds up with a difficult-to-read post. I cleaned up some of the typos and took a bit of editorial liberty here and there ((note my personal remarks, indicated by the RPers' double-parentheses gimmick)) to help the OP get his point across in such a manner that is more accurate and easier to read. On topic: Well I don't really know what to say except that most alliances are led this way, especially the 'few people in charge' bit, democracy in an alliance doesn't work.

These capital ships are in the corp hangers still but they might be a bit loose around the edges.
CCP dropped the ball and our ship was replaced.
