I'm shopping around for a small helmet cam for my paintball games and could use some suggestions on brands.
Looking for relatively cheap - maybe $600 at most. Cheaper is better though in this case. That way if a lucky shot wipes it out it won't be a total ****er.
Relatively small - The last thing I need is a 1980's camcorder strapped to the side of my head. I've seen a few models already that are no bigger than a penlight and to me that would be optimal.
Optional in field viewer - Kinda like this. Not needed but would be nice to view clips in between games. I need to think of weight too, between the gear on me, my gun, and my duffle bag full of paint, spare parts, and spare air tanks, I really don't want to haul a laptop in as well. Something like the above link I could strap to my leg or something.
Durable - I play rough. I dive into bunkers, I slam into trees, I belly crawl through mud. I need something that can take a beating as well as me. If anything I can buy some foam and bury the recorder in a pod pack.
If I can find something along these lines maybe in a few months I can post some games.

EDIT: Another note, if they're cheaper I may be able to buy extra's for some of the teammates for added views.

I know a friend of mine was looking for a helmet mounted cam for snowboarding. But I think he was only talking about 100 - 160 euro. Then again, I think he was plugging it into a camcorder as a recording device so that saved him some money on the replay device as in the linky.
The cam set on the linky looks good, but I dont know how it'll hold up in mud.
