I took a sneak peak into the resDungeons.stuff file today with the stuffExplorer (www.eve-i.com) and extracted the two battle tracks. Then I converted the .ogg files to standard .mp3 with a converter program..
I must say, awesome! The music is really upbeat compared to some of the regular eve tracks.. they start off slow and ambient, then the trancy beats and bass takes it away, really nice! _____________________________________ Perpetually driven, your end is our beginning. seeing the type of battle tracks they have, and there seems to be two "battlestation" models for each pirate race, along with force fields for thermal, emp, kinetic, exp.. etc.
my best guess would be that you recieve a mission to destroy this battlestation, and to get to it, you have to go through several layers of npc difficulty (hence the really upbeat tempo towards the end)
of course my guess is as good as anyones, but thats what i picture when they say dungeons.. maybe recieve different waypoints in a system once you clear out the defenses ..

Hmmm, new music? The EVE Theme and Race Specific tracks (and the "rocks", too) were in client already... but I must see if they have changed them. I love EVE music, I wish they would have put the tracks they sampled us with during production into the default playlist(that way I wouldn't have to keep going into resSound and putting them in myself :) )

Great reaction time on this one, but it's totally off topic and you wasn't really any venom behind it. Also, you lose points for having a name I don't recognise.
Overall, I give this safespotting an overly generous C-

You read the Topic right? So why did you click in and read it if you didn't want to know about it?

Edited by: snutt on 08/05/2004 15:13:53 I didn't find the tracks all that impressive, rather disappointed tbh. The rock tracks have been there from the begining before shiva. I like the begining of Rock_5 best to about when the voice comes, kinda funny it's the only eve track with a voice in hehe. Personally, I'd like it better without a voice .
I guess a year of eve really makes you fed up with the same tracks over and over and over again.. Sorry for my rough and cold tone. The eve tracks themselves is awesome, truly amazingly good work Jon, no disrespect but I'am just fed up, and I don't think I'am the only vet out there. For now some chillout will have too do.

Also, just WTH is rock music doing in EvE anyway? It doesn't even have a slightest feel of the setting of the game - space - like it is suppose to. I vote for more login-screen style music, not some rock crap. --------------

They sound almost like the 'hidden' tracks that have been in the EVE res files since beta. There's always been a seperate set of music files that you can't access ingame, a set for each race and a 'rock' set. They were actually pretty good, it's a shame they didn't make it into the game, maybe now they will?
