I agree completely, the characters are so warped right now they are like completely different from when the show started. It's boiled down to a weak soap opera with a little bit of special effects. I mean they don't have to be star trek but for the love of god at least have some different things going on like maybe finding some new planets or aliens or something. It's crap now.

I can honestly say, i've never watched a single episode of BSG. Not one. I've not even seen a single second of the show.
I live in the UK and BSG is shown of Sky and I wouldnt watch Sky even if you paid me to. Anything run by Murdoch deserves to die a painful death.
TBH, I seriously wonder how anyone, in the right mind, can watch cable tv with its adverts every 8 mins that last 4 mins. We do have cable, but thats more for my kids to have their tv and they dont advertise as heavily on the kids channels.
However, if BSG was picked up by the BBC or C4 etc I would gladly sit down and make the effort. On the BBC you notice that these hour long programmes suddenly become 40 mins. Me, I dont have the patience to sit through 20 mins of adverts every hour.
