[Poll] - Have you been part of an Eve Event?

I wouldn't mind taking part in an Event but, unless I'm being thick, I can never find where they occur despite studying the related News articles closely. LEEEEERRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

I would really like to be part of some of the aurora events in the scope forum, but as I only visit empire sometimes to sell stuff, I don't think it will ever happen. M.I.A. since 2004-07-30

Yes. my first event my first time in the news 2nd 3rd And no, I don't know anyone in CCP or aurora, it was just "luck" : having my corpmates from star control, Omegris and Tyrrax, giving me the information or camping the eve chat in the right moment, and of course, being able to get there in time, as events often happen far from the highways, in 0.1 to 0.4 space.

Demonstration against slavery was set up by the Freedom Fighters. Eram Event - If i remember correctly they reported after the event, though we did have Veniel ( Jove ) showing up, cheering at the fact that we would not let go of our past. Joshua, I suggest u start your own event here and there, your a Caldari, people know u, maybe u can do something with the Caldari/Gallante thing. Another thing, Get in touch with EVE Radio, they do great stuff for the comunity ( Event wise ) Or look for the weekly events, wacky race, indy 5000, all the others ( i dont know what is out there atm ) Greetings, Sqalevon

He had a Caldari official tailing him so he had to jettison it in low sec space, but he couldn't remember exactly where it dropped. The rest of us had to find it. 3) I was travelling through Yulai (prior to the new Highway system) and noticed some funky coloured text in local. Got down and danced. Err, or not. 4) Well the event developed as we went along - it turned out the Caldari official had picked up the smuggler's package (oo-er missus!) so it turned into a man hunt. Some guy managed to destroy the official's ship, pick up the package and return it to the smuggler. He was rewarded with a basic implant. 5) Not to my knowledge, but it was a small-scale event. The roleplaying (if you can call it that) is pretty poorly done, and any atmosphere they try to create is usually ruined by the cksucking hyenas that appear in local at the slightest hint of loot being dropped (they don't actually take part, they just hang around for the cans). The events themselves are usually just a showcase for effects and models that you don't normally see in the game, ie. the Opus Luxury Yacht or some comet effect. If you want to see that sort of thing you can do it without all the ham and space-chavs by having a play around with your EVE files. "PVP = griefing" Papa Smurf

We tried to kill "Rabbit" in a system 3 jumps from Luminair, but failed due to the instant full shield recharge that he had :-) He then insta jumped to the station (how he jumped 3 systems at once is beyond me) and by the time we got to the lab all the action was over and the station was destroyed with the researchers taken hostage. I heard about it on trade or something, a player named Doc Brown announced it, so I came over to join his gang. Spelling corrections welcome, but don't expect me to edit my post.
