Anyone besides myself think is simply retarded for them to release tech 2 while killing off the profession of hunting while instead giving more power to the miner/producer faction? Tech 2 isnt out much but even now some items are being killed off from the loot scene.
and would it really be that hard to upgrade some loot?

No, there was always a total imbalance in the reward side of farming over Manu, about time it was rectified. And i never manu'd.

I'd rather see them boost bounty's and add in some sort of advanced research allowing builders to get the meta item prints and build the stuff. This would allow builders and miners to stay in the chain of a well equiped fleet.

CCP has already stated that they wouldn't be updating the loot table to T2 or bringing in more named items. They want everything above T1 to be player manufactured. It does diminsh the rewards of hunting somewhat but it makes the economy stronger and more player based which is a good thing.

Um, read the Dev Blog. More named items coming.
I don't have a problem with it, and I also think it's fine that T2 will (probably) never drop from rats. With all the trouble T2 is already, dropping the stuff from rats would invalidate everything a manufacturer/scientist has to go through in the first place.

eeh, I can do both, but actually Hunting is more fun, needs more skills and takes about the same time. Why wouldn't I have a shot at the same items from hunting as from manufacturing ?
But I agree, way too early for tech2 drops. It would be good to change the lott table to increase the better tech1 drops tho, since the average lootprice has been dropiing due to tech2. Maybe tech2 components in the drops ? _______________________________________________

NPC hunting battleships and making battleships from the reprocessed loot > mining for battleships.

Scrapmetal Proccessing anyone? Maybe hunting for loot will actually be worth a good amount and an alternate mineral source then mining? Who knows, maybe rats will drop Items like ROBOTICS or R.A.M. in near future.

I for one think it's fairly ridiculous that the rats use some kind of uber tech 2 modules, but they only drop tech 1 stuff.
Still, some of the named tech 1 stuff is better or at least more efficient than the tech 2 modules (like the 10mn AB).
But they will have to add tech x stuff to the loot tables sooner or later or hunting will become utterly pointless by tech 3 at the latest.
And some tech 2 stuff is dropping already (armor repairers, cargo expanders at least) although it isn't supposed to
PS. I just realised the other day that you can see what the rat is going to drop if you do a ship scan. Pretty useless but neat nevertheless.

Agent mission rats already drop components and skill books.
