Well from what I've read on the recruitment post, it offers the chance for anyone of any SP's and experience to join a group of likeminded pirates in causing carnage. Yeah theres no alliance run mining ops for fleet replacements etc, it just sounds like complete mayhem and carnage.
I for one am very tempted.

You can cause a lot of mayhem and carnage on your own! I know me and my rabble do. To join an alliance such as this, there needs to be more incentives to the more experienced pirates.

Last I heard, the Pirate Coalition weren't actually pirates but maybe things have changed.

Go to low sec, close your eyes and pray.
There is a difference between outlaws and pirates in sec status, i classify us as pirates in our actions. Many are outlaws, or will be soon, others are weekend pirates that wanna keep their sec high and gank now and then.

Having a big PIRATE COALITION logo on your character info sounds like a good way to make targets run off and dock up.
Why not use a corp or alliance called "Eve Trader Friends", "The Mining Consortium" or "Insurgency" all good and honest carebear names that wouldn't scare a fly.

Well althougs some carebears dont have 2 brain cells to rub together I woul still think it wont take them long to set your alliance red nomatter what name you have tbh. If you have a name like carebears unite they will still recognise you once you get a rep for yourselves, plus the sec status usually gives things away alittle.

Whatever happened to the old days, when pirate corps used funky names like Corsets and Carebears? I want more of that.
Although a pirate alliance will kinda kill of itself in the end it seems, the fighting over loot would be horrendus.
And you would make systems, perhaps regions barren within weeks maybe months.

The Pirate Coalition, if it is the same coalition from year or 2 ago, is in my opinion a great organization to belong too. In my experience it is not like a typical alliance in that there are "required ops" thing like that etc. There is not fighting over loot because most the time each corp operates independantly.
It helped when we were in an area that we are typically not in, wanted to do something against another corp or alliance, etc. Overall I remember it was a positive experience.
