Event.Horizon is recruiting folks from all walks of life to join us. We live in Syndicate null-sec as a part of the newly formed Flatline. Alliance. Our Timezones are primarily US and EU.
EVH is a primarily PVP corporation, as is our alliance, however industrial types are more than welcome and we will be attempting to develop our industrial branch as we expand. We are more than willing to accept PVPers who have things to learn, however we do prefer experienced pilots and will only accept a limited number of un-blooded pilots at a time to ensure that we do not have more people than we can reasonably teach.
Event.Horizon was formed 4.5 years ago and while it's membership has fluctuated throughout the years, there is a lot of experience within our ranks in both corporate leadership and PVP. We prefer NPC space to avoid the sov warfare, although we may choose to move into a traditional null region at some point down the road.
All the necessary infrastructure is already in place. A list of things:
 Regularly scheduled as well as spontaneous PVP ops, mostly small gang roaming with the occasional hotdrop. We peruse a large variety of ships so theres always fun to be had with your favorite hull.
POSes for things like jumping capitals in / not getting camped in your station. And someone else fuels all of them for you!
Capital chains for logistics originating near Jita. Got a shiny new ship and need it moved to Null-sec? We can get it there in 10 minutes.
NPC space, so no lame sov warfare, no shooting TCUs and reinforcing stations over and over with nothing in between but numbing boringness.
Ship Reimbursement on sanctioned PVP ops.
No taxes!
Comms and Killboard

 Willingness to work as a team
PVP experience preferred

Tonight we took out a battle hauler fleet, consisting of approximately 20 industrials fit with guns, 3 interdictors, and a small smattering or other cruiser and battlecruiser ship types for people without haulers available.
We snagged an early kill on a vexor that just jumped into our fleet.
A few jumps later we had a hookbill, hyperion, and hurricane jump into us.
We began by engaging the hurricane which went down in pretty handy time under the collective few hundred dps of our entire fleet :-p
We then began engaging the hyperion, however at that time the hookbill lights a cyno and jumps a Chimera in!
The chimera starts repping shield on the hyperion, however our handy badger ewar platforms manage to keep the Chimera jammed often enough that after a long fight, the hyperion finally went down as well as the hookbill.
We kept tackle on the Chimera throughout the fight and maintained our jams on it. The Chimera kept trying to launch drones and smartbomb, however we killed the drones off one by one and kept our range. We knew we didn't have to DPS to kill a Chimera, but boy did we want to.
We asked all members of the fleet with a capital alt nearby to go ahead and start logging them on. Somehow, we didn't have a single cyno in the whole fleet, so someone had to leave the fleet and fly 5 jumps, grab a cyno, and fly back. We lit the cyno and jumped some caps in to assist with taking down the Chimera.
Unfortunately, the Chimera knew he was stuck and initiated his self destruct timer right around the time that we jumped our caps in. Before we could burn through all his HP, his timer ended and he self destructed.
We decided at that point that we had a long and successful night, as well as our first battlehauler capital kill (although we don't have the killmail to show for it). We should have FRAPS footage up sometime soon of the battle. |
