No your wrong. You did it, doesn't matter if you are gaming with anyone of your characters, you chose to kill another pilot and should have an open represial on all of your chars. Regardless of their names, they are still you. You shouldnt be able to hide behind alts and accounts and do whatever you feel like. The carebear actually has a point for once
 1. Kill rights should track to the account and be applied to all accounts/alts, for a period of time like a miny war dec, so he or his gang could track down anyone of your alts and kill them, so YOU BETTER PAY ATTENTION WHILE IN SPACE, omg imagine that, unconsented PVP, GENIUS!.
2. Kill rights should be a commodity to sell/trade etc
3. Bounties can only be claimed via contract with a chosen character (lets say a reputable mercenary or bounty hunter), an alt on the same account can not receive the bounty of a main regardless of which account its on, and corp/alliance mates are also not allowed to recover bounties. A new tab will be added in stations, which track stats of bounty hunters and their prize to keep a record of who killed who and what the bounty was etc, so that a pilot can make a good discision on who should exercise his bounty/killrights.
4. (for completeness and a blatant theft from this thread because i love the idea so much and copying is the most sincerest form of flattery  ) Killright timer representing active log in time outside station to actually have the oppertunity for the kill. ( i suspect this is a bit harder and may not be necessary) the simple fact that people can do this with alts while their mains are reaping the reward, probably missioning with all the goodies is whats the problem.
oh by the way xPatty, if your so bad at this game that your worried about a little reprisal chances are your running a little to low in the shorts
