To be completely frank, although I don't understand it, the reason men rule over their bbq pits is because women just don't know how to cook bbq, perhaps it's a cultural thing, but give my fiance an hour in the kitchen and she'll give you haute cuisine, but stick her in front of a grill with a steak, some onions and potatoes and she'll look at you quizzically. To be honest, it's probably a self-fulfilling prophecy, men lord over the bbq because women can't use them, so women never learn to use them |

140?
150. Got to remember two will go in the pool, two will catch fire, the cat will have away with one, a passing pigeon will interfere with one and not buying in quantities of ten is like numbers and stuff. |

Wood>propane with wood>charcoal>propane
although made a little differently by todays standards, technically charcoal is wood.

Ok, I'm a stickler on this so no offence is meant. What you're talking about is a cook out or grilling, not bbq.
BBQ is cooking of meat over long periods of time (ranges from 12-24 hours) with smoke, not fire. The meat is generally pork, beef, or chicken(meh). While bbq'ing the meat it is marinated in a sauce, usually vineger, tomato, or mustard based. Though some is a dry rub etc.. but whatever.
I like grilling out, it's fun, relaxing, and pretty easy to do. But just so you know, if you're ever in parts of the united states/carribian and invite friends over to a BBQ and there's not a rack of ribs or some pulled pork, just some hot dogs and hamburgers. I hope you have lots of beer on tap to ease the anger.
And yes, there's a whole group of ppl on this planet that take thier BBQ very seriously. Some even have patents on thier sauces. How many must die in the name of God before the Devil is satisfied |

NOW THAT is a party
What???? No refreshments. Can't have a proper BBQ without beer or a bottle of whiskey.
And by beer none of that American **** that you drink.
Why do you assume that I am American? Additionally, not all American beer is ****. Most of it is, but not all. |

Hickory is the best wood for that IMO. |

Charcoal isn't wood, might be made from wood but not wood. Wood is wood. Speaking of wood anyone try pecan wood?
