Well I wouldn't mind a chain weapon tbh.. but a weapon more powerful then a DD fitted to a BS doesn't sound like anything that would make the game more fun. Anyway, i guess thats a discussion for the development forum.
Whatever it was, letting it do that much damage is obviously out of the question. But an anti-capital weapon on a T2 tier 3 battleship? YES PLEASE!
It'd have extremely low tracking and a signature resolution of 2000, use almost all of your cap to fire, and pretty much destroy itself in the process of firing (make it very low-power unless overheated with a damage factor high enough that it would burn out after one shot), but give it the ability to do serious damage to a capital ship when fired.
Perhaps something along the lines of 30K damage + 10K cap drain...

The wreckage from that battle is in orbit above one of the planets in Sarum Prime, I believe.
