And again an EVE subscriber switched to a brand new IMac, everything's shiny, new and stylish... except... EVE
Had to switch back from premium on PC to original client so please (!) give us premium graphics for Macs before XMas

If you bought a MAC you deserve not to have premium graphics (nor anything else a PC can).
pff, who buys a mac anyway?

Well it's always fun that anti-mac people talk more on the mac forum than the devs. Sad.

As far as the devs are concerned, the Mac client isn't their problem, it's Transgaming's. ---- FREE Explorer Lead Megalomanic EVE Null-Sec Player Influence Map http://dl1.eve-files.com/media/corp/Veritefw/FWinf |

But last time i checked...Transgaming is doing that work for CCP not us. Transgaming isn't goig to communicate with us, it's CCP that should do that.
For a customer if a car has problems he doesn't go calling the part manufacturer he calls the manufacturer of the car.

Care to elaborate, the Q1 "lie" or the "next week" lie? But there is a silverlining! We can now have a timeline! Q1 means roughly Q3 and one week is something like one month. So a day should be one week...a year should be two...
So CCP, any communication coming in a day or so?

C'mon CCP guys! Have some respect for Mac Users Community here and give us some real and concrete infos about the future of mac version and the adoption of premium gfx in particular!
I love this game, but you're ridicolously delaying some kind of answer or release date for months! Incredible way of thinking about "consumer satisfaction".
Incredible!

Well, it's the middle of Q3.....no words on a premium client and no words on a Dev blog(assuming of course)? I can only say one thing, quit your damn crying!
I have been playing Eve since last fall, when I bought my 1st gen MBP (used) and I was using the standard client in Parallels Desktop. The system worked fine then, but there was no shading support by PD for the premium content. Along comes the Mac "port" and I no longer need to use the PD client - -!
Now there is support from PD, but why spend the money and use the hard drive space when I just have to wait a bit longer.....just like everyone else. The point I'm trying to make here is, I'm really not a patient guy and I enjoy the look of the premium content, but how many of us really have the resources for 100+ ship fleet engagements with the lag created within the standard client? I have found that I already turn certain features off in the client for faster playing times without losing too many FPS (and I meet premium requirements). How much of the premium content will any of us really enjoy if things need to be turned off?
Let's just take this as a grain of salt, my RL bro (and corpmate) has a gaming system and he's had to wipe and reinstall his entire system three times in the last year. The most I've had to do is wait for premium content, my system is stable. Hey PC lovers, go backup your hard drive or something, leave the Mac users alone! ___________________________________________________________

Why you guys force yourselves to think as you were CCP employee? I really can't understand it. People talking about transgaming issues, shader model porting problems, OpenGL vs ActiveX? Why we havo to care about the production pipeline? On my credit card bill there is only a name: CCP. Am I wrong?
So, let's summarize this: -We are the customers. We are the ones who pay money. Or better ... we pay A LOT money for a mmorpg. -They are the ones who EARN money.
Got it?
So, if THEY tell us premium version to be scheduled in Q1, if THEY don't give us a clue in months, I became upset! Premium is resource heavy (although that's not true at all)? I have to worry about (as you said) "the resources for [playing in] 100+ ship fleet"? Maybe I've got that resources. Maybe I've have my new shiny Mac Pro under my desk!
So I want to be able to CHOOSE whenever disable Premium gfx to gain speed.
So, please, CCP mac guys ... be professional. You look as you never managed a project here!

I don't mind delays in "production", but i do mind when there are MAJOR delays in communication for paying customers.
Imagine yourself in a shop. The seller tells you to wait a bit so that he checks if that current model is in storage. Imagine that the seller never comes back. Imagine that nobody communicates with you when you ask the person next to him about it. Imagine that after you go all nuts...the other tells "yeah, a few mins" and then...hours go.
That's CCP at the moment, and imagine you were in the shop paying for the parking meter.

My favorite current and upcoming computer games run on Mac OSX (Warcraft III, Spore, Diablo I, II, & III, Starcraft I & II).
Eve Online was the only reason I had a windows partition on this iMac and the windows partition just went dead (kept blue-screening at startup). With the state the mac client is in now, we probably shouldn't have to be paying the same monthly fee that windows users are. It is in worse shape than most beta clients for other MMOs.

Anyway... I agree... its too silent..
You can actually access all the windows files if you "right click" on the EVE Online.app and the select "Show Content of Package" (or something like that, not sure how they have wrote it in English), from there you go to "Content\Resources\transgaming\c_drive\Program Files\CCP\EVE" and there you have all the windows EVE Client files. ___________________________________

Yes , i agree to that we should maybe not have to pay as much , but i guess if what the devs say ( on there very very rare occasions ) they are working on that so that means they have to pay staff so if we pay less maybe the premium clients finishing time will be a year late , it's just snakes and roundabouts. The only way we could get the job done quicker is to have one thread where everyone complains and shows there support in the mac community something like this but on a much large size!

Whine threads won't help anything. Devs will just stop reading. The production development is simply stuck, for whatever reason, in the throes of Coming SoonÖ.
And for the record, I wouldn't pay less for an incredible thing like EVE, nor free expansions like Empyrean Age or huge ones like Ambulation.
That said, a blog postùa paragraphùwould be nice.

pff, who buys a mac anyway?
Who wastes their time *****ing about an operating system they don't like on a forum thread dedicated to that operating system?
and to answer your question about who uses a mac?
The adverts you see on your TV were probably edited on a mac, along with the films you go and watch at the cinema. The Majority of the graphics for this site were probably done on a mac, parts of EVE were probably rendered on a mac. This site was probably made using dreamweaver, on a mac.
So guess what, before you start your petty whining about an operating system you have no idea about, sit down. Sit down and think about how much design influences your life, because most likely 90% of the things you consume or inhabit were probably designed using a mac at some point.
SO quit whining like a little girl and go back to the windows forum.
[And this is coming from someone who uses both windows and mac operating systems].
