The installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete. This could be the result of a damaged disk, a failed download or a virus.
You may want to contact teh author of this installer to obtain a new copy.
It may be possible to skip this check using the /NCRC command line switch (NOT RECOMMENDED).
I've been getting this message ever since I unistalled Eve (because my game quit working on me) and tried to reinstall it. I've tried DLing both the premium and classic multiple times, and both give me this message. I've tried virus scanning to no avail, and I have no idea what the /NCRC command line is...
Anyone able to help me with this? I miss Eve :(

I've been surfing the forums for a few days now, and I've got nothing... somebody tried saying that downloading it in Internet Explorer might help, but it didn't... Hopefully they give us a solution soon... I've been watching that 70's show before I went to bed, lol, and their jokes can only go so far... lol, nvm it rocks.

Well I have the same problem. I was really looking forward to the new patch, now I just feel let down by CCP. How can something as fundamental as a CRC fail make it through QA? |

same stuff on my computer as well..
I could not auto patch.. cause the patch was corrupt... i could not manually patch.. cause Structures.res or something was corrupt.. and i can't do a full install cause the SHA-1 number don't match...
Either we have done something horribly wrong.. or CCP have borked up big time...
btw.. i'm loosing training on 4 accounts because of this bull#"&"

I am seeing the same problem, attempted to download the patch initially however this failed while patching resSOUND.stuff.
Have tried downloading the full installer twice, first two attempts at installing both failed unpacking the same file.
Am now trying the /NCRC workaround to see what happens... |

Yep, it's installed OK...
If you're unsure how to do this -> Create a shortcut to the Eve installer.
Right click and edit the shortcut properties.
On the target tab scroll to the far right, past the quotes and add /NCRC.
Worked fine after that for me. What a silly mistake to make tho :-P

I doubt they would bother...
Right now i'm doing a SHA-1 check just to be 100% sure... only downside is that it takes ages to check 1.2 gigabytes of data...
Gonna give some feedback on it tomorrow though..
keep it up everyone.. together we WILL find a solution

First two downloads had SHA-1 mismatches. Third one matches and installed successfully.
Could have been a download problem, or they could have just fixed the problem in the last hour. |

Well, I uninstalled and deleted anything related to EVE. Removed all clients previously d/l'd, and decided to try and d/l again "Classic" with Mozilla.
Crossed fingers and and began install of new client. I was fully expecting same error message again, but to my delight - THE DAMN THING WORKED! Woo-friggin-hoo!!!
I tried not to get to excited as I hadn't actually logged into the game yet.....
I am happy to say that I am once again part of the EVE universe. I mining I will go - just in time to change skill over too.
I hope this works for all of you having the same problem.

If you are having trouble with the patches or full installers from this site try downloading it from a friends house, or try a mirror.
Try the following mirrors (note, these are NOT official mirrors):

ok i think i found the issue on MY computer...
Seemed like two.. yes TWO of my ram chips where bad... i have removed them and all symptoms of error's have gone away...
I advice everyone of you to do a memory check of some sort to make sure that your ram is allright...

I have still not found any solution to this...
But i'm suspecting really faulty hardwar on my side... cause i lost 2 gb of ram yesterday =(...
Got to change my motherboard i guess... and then see.... Right now... I have no chance of installing either through patching or with the full install... no matter where i get the .exe's from |

no need to do that... I have an on board diagnostics... with a display...
As it goes through each of the booting stages it displays an unique code...
and when the ram was gone it halted at a specific code... I have looked up the code and it said memory fault.
It's really annoying when it happens... Cause the machine starts to emit crazy beeps and stuff all the time untill i remove the bad ram chip.
But... enough of my problems... Have anyone found a ****ion to this dreaded problem ?? seems like no matter what i do, i get that stupid file corrupt and installer is borked error... |
