I noticed that I can now carry enough ammo to accually hunt without having to be in a system with a base, well I have to say THANK YOU!
now then, I looked through the patch notes and did not see mention on this, so I am also saying, PLEASE tell me this was meant to be.

What I don't get though, for example for Small charges, this means that weapons would hold 10 times as much ammo. How does this work? I tried it in-game and it spit out the rest anyway, doesn't this feck up the capacity indications for turrets? Or am i missing something

All ammo sizes were reduced (0.01 for small, 0.05 for medium is what I'm hearing), and at the same time all weapons had their ammo capacity reduced to hold the same amount of the new smaller ammo. (except for a few pirate drops that weren't updated, which is getting fixed shortly).
That seems like a pretty good indicator that this was indeed a deliberate change.

well the good thing is that ammo doesn't take up that much in your cargohold anymore, so you'll be able to carry ten times more of it.
was annoying before, the part about never having enough ammo ;)
now it's good.

Ahh...then I am glad I pulled my ammo out of my guns last night before i logged off...i figured it was going to be corrected...8000 ammo in a 250mm coiled was too good to be true..lol

I heard of someone with 8000 units of ammo in one of their medium weapons crazy eh?
it obviously is not for real cos you cannot get that amount of ammo into your cargo hold so im sure by size and proportion you not getting it into your gun right?
we will just take advantage of it in the meantime :P

Yea. Seems they missed a few of the weapons. Dual 150mm's hold 4k rounds now.

Yeah I had 400 rounds in my 150mm railgun :-) I too pulled it out when I logged off today for work.

can't put 8000 counts of ammo in your hold?
course you can.. it only takes up 0.01 per count now.. so that'd be.. 80 tons.
no biggie.

imo, they didnt need to make the ammo that "small". Half of the previous size would be more than sufficient. After all...its suppost to be a "penelty" to use guns that use ammo..now its just a joke to me. If they were ment for eg thorax to be able to carry anything else but ammo..how about increasing the cargo bay instead? Its a cruiser after all...

Until something is confirmed or corrected, I unload my ammo before I log off each night as I dont want my weapons to become bugged when they make adjustments. Somehow, I dont think it was intended for me to load a total of 20000 ammo in my 4 railguns... 8k per dual 150mm and 2k per 250mm coiled...I recommend the same to anyone getting this...
