Well seeing this is eves major hub didnt |CCP think that this would become the central warzone? 1500 players in last 30 mins
perhaps all the main hubs will just become warzones and makes things even worse
As if it wasnt bad enough just with traders, jita and fighting and trading - happy days!  |

Need some cheese while you think about what you just wrote?
Jita will never be the central warzone. Jita is in Caldari space. People joining Factional Warfare against Caldari, will have a hard time staying still in on area without getting killed by the NPCs. Even more so when players are shooting at them too. This means that Jita will NOT be more of a warzone than it already is! What WILL happen, is that each faction will have their own hub. It used to be Yulai, now it's Jita, soon it will be several places. It will probably still be Jita for non-FW players, but as more and more sign up, less people can enter Jita... |

You have a big enough gang it wont matter.
However the amount of killed ships is pretty non existant, howeer the almost 1500 pilots thats around double almost will have a serious impact on jita |

What a silly post.
FW has no effect on Jita at all, if anything it will become less busy, not more.
Just because you log in and its busier than usual, doesnt mean it has anything to do with FW. Its a mindless thing to suggest.

Thats means the market will adjust...
new hubs will be created and others will have their influence decreased...
as a small time noob trader, this makes for interesting times where the people that can predict the trends can make lot of isk.
Like all open/free markets it will take time for adjustment but all the pieces will fall back in place.

thats cause there are alot of targets there and lots of money to be made untill people adjust to the new environment... it will die down in time.

Yeah, something is definitely up there today. I don't know exactly what or why, but you usually don't see 1500 in there at this point in the week.
I usually plan for things to be weird for about a week after patches anyway, so for now I guess give it some time and keep your fingers crossed that whatever the big panic is will die down. It could be a bunch of people making one last shopping trip there before the faction police turn unfriendly or it could be a rash of speculation. At any rate I shouldn't think it could keep this up indefinitely... at least I'd hope not.

Server pop always goes up right after an expansion. Everyone wants to check it out.
Jita is in a non-contested region ( Forge). Result = not anything different. People will still shop there with their alts, and life will be normal.
Oursulaert on the other hand is in a contest region ( Essence). Take a wild guess where alot of FW is going to happen:)

About an hour and a half ago, jumped into Jita, got DC, tried to relog....wait 5 mins get dumped, rince and repeat again and again.
What's going on? |

Maybe its just busy because there was an extended 24 hour DT and people have goods to buy and sell, I dunno.
But it being busy is NOTHING to do with Factional Warfare. The Minmatar and Gallente facts cannot enter Jita. The Caldari and Amarr factions are busy fighting the Minmatar and Gallente factions in lowsec space.
You clearly know nothing about the mechanics of factional warfare.

depending on lag conditions this could be akin to 200 goons jumping into a bob carrier camp (not good), a 60 man roaming gang of hacs/recons/intys however is quite doable. |

If you are signed up for factional warfare, and are not caldari (or maybe amarr??), you cant go to Jita without having the caldari navy on your but. And dont think about trying it in a cloaker... your cloaking device gets permajammed as soon as you jump into any high sec caldari system.
Therefore, the crowd in jita was probably nothing more than caldari gangs forming up in a centralized location prior to moving on to the warzone. While you can technically say thats because of factional warfare, its not because jita is a battleground. |
