Hey.
Since the eve-dev.net page isn't up yet, and probably wont be for a good ammount of time. I took the liberty to putup a forum to get more centralized help for the EDK board.
url is: http://evedev.killmail.org
Hopefully people will use it, both for sharing mods, getting help and such til such day that the eve-dev.net forum will be back up.

Got a link for plain old windows users like me?
Ta.
Just goto the forum, and download the tar.gz file thats linked there. And extract it with winrar or something similar - then you got all the files aswell :)

I personally am just waiting for Ralle to announce he has updated his upgrade script, which can fix it all in one swoop.
But if your into the whole phpmyadmin stuff and all that, you can use this update (taken from the other thread on how to fix the EA mails)
http://serv.qoid.us/garbage.sql (thanks to Cori4n from IAC)

The Rev327 is made by Exi himself. I put up the forum to make it easier for all EDK users to get help and mods again - i am on the #EVE-Dev IRC channel myself and regulary talk in there.
And if your worried that i will steal all your stuff via the API, then no i wont and cant - and i haven't rigged the API Mod (it aint even in the original EDK source anyway)
So if you dont have anything else to do than make stupid accusations, i would love if you would just go out and hammer your head into the nearest wall till you pass out - thank you

I wasn't making any accusations. If you read my post carefully, it says: "IF this killboard was not developed by the EvE-Dev.net group, then I wouldn't trust it." I was not making a personal attack, and if you read it as such, I apologize.
Just seems stupid to start question my motives anyway. As you can see i host free killboards for people, i host TS servers, im a well known person in EVE (well - sorta anyway) - so if i began stealing API Keys and it got out, how'd you think my business would go? :P
So no, im not stealing API Keys, im not thinking of stealing your mom - and the source ive put up is the original source directly from the EVE-Dev SVN, and if you don't trust what ive packed down - you can get it from the svn directly. |

Again, I have offered you an appology. If you can't accept that then I can't help you. I have never heard of you and don't know of your business, but I can say that in this game you can trust no one. Out of that concern I posted what I did. Again it wasn't a personal attack. I don't know you from Adam. So please don't take it as one.
Appology is accepted - and no feelings are hurt on my part. Still just seemed an odd thing to write anyway, but - oh well.

Originally by: Shana Lioni If you have version 3.22, what is the upgrade procedure? I downloaded the entire package. Do I simply extract it to my existing directory? Thanks in advanced.
pretty much, move your current files to a backup directory, upload the new files - and copy the old kbconfig.php into the library with all the new files..
and voila it runs :)

What about the installed Mods? Do I have to reinstall them?
Pretty much just move Common and Templates to the backup directory (and all the files in the root) - thats the only ones that needs to be updated from 322 to 327 :)

Originally by: Shana Lioni I received this error.
Fatal error: Smarty error: the $compile_dir './cache/templates_c' does not exist, or is not a directory. in /home/pirtat5/public_html/cankb/common/smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 1095
I backed up my board. Deleted the contents of the directory the board was in and pasted in the new boards files. Then copied over the config file. Did I do something wrong?
Also, there are no updates to the database for the new systems and ships?
you removed the cache dir, make a folder called cache, and inside that folder make a folder called templates_c
and make all folders below cache chmodded with 777 :) |

Originally by: Shana Lioni Hi there, again,
I am now showing players corp and alliance missing when you look at the pilots details. They are also not showing up in the kill tallies either. Any ideas?
The new 327 rev shows as 326 - since it hasn't been changed in the global.php file. As far as the missing details and such, no clue.
And no, the new items and the new region is still not added. We're all waiting on the new data export from CCP, but they are slow as always ^^
