1. I have to get up my standing with each faction to be able to join.... I hate PVE in EVE so whyt he **** would I constantly kill NPC's or run BORING agent missions? How about you just let me join from the get go and build up my standing that way?
2. I have to leave my corp to use any of it................. wtf!
So basically I can't do anything in the new expansion cause the design sucks arse. If I want to do PVP then why the **** would I want to be forced to leave my corp and PVP first? |

There are 100s of things put in for 0.0 and alliance warfare that I'll never use. Doesn't mean they are worthless.
I suspect the hundreds of players shooting each other yesterday would disagree with you too, for the most part. |

1) Join a corp that already has the standings that you need.
2) If your corp is not joining faction warfare, 1) why aren't you with your corp doing whatever non-FW stuff they are doing, 2) you can still shoot at the targets just the same as if FW was never introduced.
3) Not every feature added to the game needs to fit your style of game play. I suppose that you are angry now that CCP has announced that they are going to be adding more missions that you really don't want to do.  |

Meh quit whining - if you wanted to pvp that badly you can go pirate, or fight in .0, or war dec in empire: you dont need FW to shoot stuff.

i do and it seem to be working, i have met alot of new people and while i am in there i am actually learning to be a fleet commander since i will be getting me eos which gives fleet bonuses
and if i fail it was all in the name of good fun |

The expansion isn't for everyone, fair enough, but nothing lost either since it comes free. And if you want to participate, it is your own personal choice.
I can't really see any other reason behind your whining other than that you don't like choice. |

It's 0.5 standings. It's gotta take you less then an hour if you train 1 or 2 levels of connections (INCLUDING the training time for connections). And it's not with "each" faction, just the one you want to join.

And to the OP; don't be a dweeb. As a carebear that's wanted an 'in' to PvP since I started, I see this expansion as THE way to grow Eve and keep it growing and thriving. It's my answer to edging my way toward PvPing where I don't have to go get into a 20 billion isk ship to be able to have a fighting chance.
Just because CCP isn't going to cater ONLY to the pure ganker isn't a reason to start whining and stomping your feet. People like YOU are the main reason I've not gotten involved with the PvP aspect of Eve thus far. YOu don't want PvP, you want nice easy squishy-soft targets to blow up in your uber ship. It grinds your nub butt that people might have fun fighting, winning, losing in a crappy T1 Incursus. Too bad.
I've sat back and watched, complained here and there, sidelined myself because I don't want the 0.0 game with the alliances and all the ******** politics, or lowsec with the idiotic kiddie ganking. Now CCP has taken a few good steps to provide a medium to all that...and you complain.

Life is just so cruel sometimes. Imagine having to actually put some effort in to show commitment. CCP are worse than the national socialists of Germany 1933-1945 tbh.

It's like they don't care that you're special and deserve what you want right now. This without a shadow of a doubt makes them the worst people in history.

Do you care to expound on your ever so insightful whine? I find the expansion very useful. Lots of people are having FUN with FW (fun in EVE?!) and quite enjoying the new content. That you made a choice not to participate does not make EA useless.

Stupid expansion, totally conflicting with the whole eve world.
Due to people being forced to leave their corps/alliance to be able to participate.
An 0.0 alliance can not even decide to join as a whole, because then their logistics would be crippled completely in their competition with other 0.0 alliances.
Another thing is: your standings get screwed if you join a faction, that means big chances you get problems with your research agents and all.
This is not an expansion, its a conflicting thing.
This faction warfare would be good if it would start on a compleet NEW server, where everyone has to participate anyway.
Then you would get center area's where the pve people can play, but the further away from a faction center, the more dangerous it would get.
You would also get a system, where a faction consist of players, that use their faction ship, instead of all around stuff.
In the grey area's between the faction, you would see markets, that would sell the stuff from the other factions.
In that light on a totally new fresh server, it might work.
On this server, in this EVE, its just screwing up things.
It will lead to tons of people training alts, just to do the faction war stuff.
That means the 0.0 alliances and the normal corp wars suddenly get totally rediculous, due to WAY BIGGER amount of people, that have alts in other corpses then their main.
Sorry, but this is a wrong direction for eve.
Every content so far was, all the 0.0 stuff was nice connected to all players.
Posses etc were also needed to get materials for t2 ships and all.
However this expansion, is plain silly and screws up the communities in eve.

There are no walls stopping you from just going there and killing people at jump/acceleration gates. Thanks to the expansion you got gates with lots of trafic to camp. You don't have to be in the militia to do that. I hear red alliance lost 3 carriers doing it  |
