Originally by: Alistair Cononach We therefore very strongly encourage all pilots of the 24th Imperial Crusade to continue the longstanding efforts of your fellow Amarrian Loyalist Organizations, and maintain a strict adherence to NRDS Rules of Engagement while flying within the borders of the Amarr Empire and Amarrian Providence.
Again, let us speak plainly and clearly: Piracy in Amarr Space or in Providence will NOT be tolerated in ANY form.
While I commend CVA for its announced intention to police acts of piracy committed by its allies (and hope to see evidence of it following through on this promise), I note with a certain amount of curiousity the implied admission in its very carefully chosen words that CVA now supports outright piracy by its allies and others against neutrals outside the boundaries of the Empire. This interests me, because it seems somewhat hypocritical in light of past complaints made by CVA.
Before speaking further on this, I'd just like to invite CVA representation to clarify the following interpretation of CVA policy:
The CVA policy against piracy described in Alistair Cononach's post above does not apply to acts that (1) would be considered piracy if they took place within certain borders specified by CVA, but that (2) occur outside those borders, even if (3) they are perpetrated against individuals or groups who CVA considers neutral (and who have done nothing to prompt CVA to revise their neutral status). CVA policy does not discourage CVA members from fighting alongside (and/or otherwise support) groups that enlist to support 24th Imperial Crusade but who subsequently proceed to commit such acts, even after evidence is brought to the attention of CVA.
Oh, and please keep in mind that attempts to ignore, rephrase, redirect, or otherwise obfuscate in answering the question might well be confused by our "inferior" minds in unpredictable ways. In light of this, I suggest that either a yes answer, or a no answer followed by a simple clarification of the policy, would be most effective.
To clarify I would say that CVA's interests are within the Empire and Providence. We will protect the citizens from the agression of pirates and Matari scum. CVA's interests on pirates do not leave the empire or providence, and the proviso is simply that we will shoot those who pirate within the crusade, but that this will not stop us from working with the crusade towards goals which are to the advantage of the empire.
Outside the boundries of the empire CVA doesnt really care about piracy, but we do not ally ourselves with those that commit piracy anyway so it really isnt a concern for us. |

Once again i must commend the CVA for, though due to bureaucracy being kept "out of the loop" (so to speak), doing their best to assure that, in the current situation, law and order is upheld.
As a citizen of Derelik, i shall gladly try to assist in whatever way i can to keep the terrorists and pirates at bay.
Victory to the Caldari and Amarr!!

She is Amarria and let the universe tremble when she is angered!
My heart sings with joy to hear these sharp words uttered by one of such noble birth. This is the absolute rejection of the failed policies of Doriam and the embrace of all things which made the Amarr great.
You Lady, are a testament to all that which is Amarr and have this humble child's deepest respect. May Lord God give his greatest blessing upon you and your family. |

Edited by: Bacchanalian on 14/06/2008 05:25:49 I'd like the thank CVA and Alistair especially for their participation. As a result I now have yet another CVA corpse to add to my collection. Alistair, I promise to be gentle with your former self. ____________________ GM Sunshine > oops Neurotica > Hate to see a GM in your gang say 'oops'

Imperial Pharmacy soon joins the 24th Imperial Crusade. Then I will take my rightfull place as a senechal of the crusade. I also expect that mighty and wealthy CVA will support my corp's endless military efforts by opening it treasure chambers.
This beginning. This birth of life. This dawn of greatness. I can not fail, for I have the Emperor to lead me and destiny to follow. undefined |

Good to know the destruction of CVA vessels is still quite boastworthy among our foes.

I appreciate that Bacchanalian. You earned it, enjoy it.
Dying in service to CVA was an honour in and of itself. The Claymore Class Matari Command vessel that fell to my Imperial Harbinger prior to it's destruction certainly blunted my dissapointment at my rather dubious end. One never gets used to the experience of awakening in a new body, and the issues of faith of such unclean cloned flesh always play at the back of my mind.
An enjoyable engagment none-the-less. Always an experience to cross weapons with you Bacch. I look forward to our next meeting. Till then. /bow

Not for difficulty, but for seeing (and killing) something that is seen so rarely outside its defensives that it is almost thought to be extinct.

I would try and explain some of the many problems with your statement, for example I'm Caldari so comming for my people would be your last mistake, but I doubt that you would understand.

Can you do nothing but claim Amarrian Forces such as CVA and PIE hide and do not fight? It seems when you have nothing else worthy to say that is all you claim.

They do more than that, m'lord. They die in droves when set upon by small CVA patrols.
