With cloaks on a ship I know you cant cloak after another player has a lock on you, but is this the same for NPC rats? If so whats the point of fitting a cloak to a raven if you cant use it as soon as someone enters local cause if its a cepter enters and is looking for you It will most likely find you before you can warp to SS to cloak. |

You have plenty of time to get to a SS an... wait...
No, you're right. There's no point in fitting cloaks, mwds or stabs. |

If your tank can take it maybe try putting a nano and inertia stabalizer on the raven to help with alignment. Give it a test you might be able to warp out in time. Thats what i do with my drake at least. |

If ur in a belt and u see a some1 come into local u don't know, if u immediately disengage from any rats and warp to safe spot, then u should have no problem at all in deploying cloak once at safe spot.. if the rats u previously engaged have webbed or scrammed u, u should always attack the ones doing so first (see right side of OV of the npc ship to see if it is using ecm against u)--cause u won't be able to warp timely otherwise... also as person said when u enter u can align to ur safe spot and that will save time also. If u use drones against NPC rats make sure u bring them back to the drone bay asap when not in use. U can also fly into belt at varying distances and even ceptor has to locate and then approach u before locking..

This man speaks truth. There is absolutely no point in fitting anything like a cloak or stabs because it will not save you so don't even bother.
Yes. Nothing to see here, move along now.

Assuming you get moving right away I'd be pretty impressed if a ceptor could find you before you can get to a SS.
If you're slow on the draw, a stab or neut might turn out better. Note: the ceptor might be able to out-range the neut.
I think the main reason people use the cloak is so they can afk in the SS.

With the new "align" button it should be pretty easy to warp away the instant somebody unfriendly shows up in the system.

You say it like this is a bad thing
There are plenty of ways that you can escape easily while NPCing... |

Just stay aligned while ratting, if something comes in hit warp and u will get out before he hits the belt.
