Might not be a bad idea, seeing as the other threads have slipped off the front page. |

Good advice for ANY email. Never use links in emails that take you to sites requesting ANY login details.
Be it your bank account or just a web site forum or anything else. ALWAYS use verified bookmarks that you have made yourself or type the URL in manually. Since a lot of people stupidly tend to use the same password and/or username for their banks as they do for forum pages, ignoring this advice could prove financially fatal.
To the OP. I hope you forwarded the email to CCP so they could trace the scammer. They have more resources to take possible legal action against these sites than you do.

If you received such an Email then you committed one of those critical error in keeping your account safe.
NEVER EVER use your primary mail account (the one you used to create your Eve account) to sign up to fansites, forums, guild or other Eve sites.
I generally use 3-4 dummy mail accounts which I use for such things. Should I get any fishing mail then it will rot in the inbox of those accounts until hell freezes over.
P.S.: This is a copy/paste answer from another thread with the same topic.

Also remember that no MMORPG that takes itself seriously would send out an all customers mailing containing the grammatical errors of a non native english speaker (which this mail clearly has). That in itself should raise the alarm bells and prompt you to use your own bookmark (or type the bonafide part of the shown address manually) to verify the mail's authenticity.
I'd think most RMT effrots would have moved to AoC by now though.
