After the 12th paragraph, I started getting light-headed, and had to stop and set up a base camp to rest while the Sherpas went ahead to scout out the rest of the post. But after a long nap and some serious re-hydration, I was able to push through and finish my ascent. I donÆt know that IÆve ever been more proud of myself.

hahahah, people complaining about reading ,on a forum. How ironic.
As for the guy wondering if FW is something you can just hop into, the answer is YES. Of course your first day your going to want to move a ship to the front line and some extra fittings, that means you find out where that is first by asking in militia channel. Once your at the front you can ask for an invite to various groups. Yes there is going to be a blob but there are also going to be smaller gangs, just be sure to specify what your looking for and the right people will invite you.
I myself haven't had the time I wanted to play FW so far, sure the week before i had truckloads of time to just stare at the hangar wishing it was post patch day already. When I am in,within 5-10minutes I have found the type of group i want to roll with and on my way to the rally point or target system. Depending on how things are you could be in a fight in 5minutes or less.
Something I've said is FW is like 0.0 without all of the overhead of 0.0 life. No need to worry about some noob risking his capitalship and having to try and bail him out. No worrying about bubbles. No need to have a ship that someone else feels is the RIGHT ship with the RIGHT fittings for it regardless of what you think about it.No poses to defend, unless your into that kinda thing.
Log in, talk, get invite or invite others, move, fight, kill or be killed in under 20minutes.That to me is a HUGE change from lowsec and 0.0. Due to the fact that you choose the ship you want to use, meaning what your wallet can allow you, its a lot less stress. You dont have to worry about losing the ship or being *****ed out because your ship isnt fitted the way some FC demands you to fit. Ive been flying frigs and a destroyer so far and their costs are in no way equal to my clone upgrade costs and no one says a damn thing to me. Not to mention ive always wanted to play in frigs and destroyers but couldn't in pvp due to their fragility when compared to t2s and BSes.
Chances are you spent more time reading my posts then it will take to get into a fight in FW. Might i suggest going Amarr? Lets face it those mintard mules aren't going to put themselves to work in the coalmines now that some got loose.

I agree, faction warfare is a travesty.
Please remove this terrible expansion so I can get back to spinning my ship in a station and playing with EFT.

You haven't read many books, have you...
Regards to the OP, I can't remember the last time someone gave a new content feature such praise. As said, it's refreshing, and good to know.

Hmmm, I think we have a leak
And yes it is refreshing to see people get so into facets of the game they hadn't done much previously. I know it took me a time to see the light but I won't be going back now!

Originally by: Marlenus If T1 ships and mods start getting expensive (it's hard to imagine, I know, but shortages are already cropping up in systems near the front lines) you may see FW militias spearheading heavily-defended mining ops in low sec to fuel their own production.
I agree, although this itself is a superb thing for the game, and achieves the exact thing people have been complaining about, getting people into low-sec. Up until now, the T1 ship market has had abysmal margins, most T1 frigates sell at a loss and possibly even below insurance. A slight increases in prices and suddenly it becomes worthwhile for the manufacturers and so it will balance out - net wins all the way around. I know several people already gearing up to make frigates and cruisers because of FW.
As they say, war is good for business. I see FW as a superb opportunity for all of EVE, in one way or another. As another thread rightly pointed out, even 0.0 alliances can benefit from FW. Detach a corp to FW, and hey presto, experienced commanders and players out there to teach, train, recruit, and you have a huge pool of newly hardened PvPers to choose from. ___ My views may not represent those of my corporation or alliance, which is why I never get invited to those diplomatic parties... |

Thanks for the feedback guys!
It's great to see positive feedback on specific aspects of new features. While it's important that we know what we did wrong so we can fix it, it's a lot more important that we know what we did right so we can do more of that.
Remember, we just provide the tools. You guys are actually providing the fun part ;)
