(First of all sorry for my english, it's not ly native language!)
For an old player like me, It was hard to think that something new could happen in EVE.
I spent one year in 0.0 when the Curse Alliance and Stain fought bravely to keep their territories.
I did all the mission avaiable for most of the caldari corps in Empire.
I was the most infamous pirate, waiting for some noob to kill, doing things like cans swapping.
But i missed so much times when a Punisher, or a Kestrel were ship u use and u love.
Times when small t1 groups with only frigs and cruisers roam around to engage similar vessel around ECP8R.
Yesreday i had great fun, touching again the same feeelings of years ago.
As a Minmatar militia (with my alt) me and my mates discard the idea of joining the >100 fleet pilots that theese first days usually roams around with no objectives.
We decide to go into an enemy sys trying to make it vulnerable.
6 pilots, piloting a mix of rifter, kestrel, and a wolf.
The first 2 flags scanned were minor installations, so we conquered them easily.
the third one was a major outpost...4 npc BS inside!
We needed one Bc at last, so we made a crazy run around the surroundings markets to buy the fitting (very cheap, just what the merkets had to offer!) , with war-targets that chase us around the jumps.
Some Navy npc's engage us outide the station (they don't like minmatar liutenants!) but we managed to bring all the equip safely to out mate.
After we took 5 flags, some Amarr should think that something's happening in the system, so they send a ceptor inside the 6th anomayes.
We engage desperately with one rifter and the Kessie, chasing him away!
It was just a prelude.
A better gang (2 punisher - 1 omen - 1 retribution) come to check the anomaly, and we have to share our guns at the accelation gate.
We loose 1 kessie and one rifter, they loose only a punisher, managing to take back their flag.
We are all about to come back with some better vessel, but it was 4 in the morning, so the bed+pillow perfectly strikes blowing us all!
In about 5 hours, we experieced tactics to take flags, we've been chased during the market runs, we had 2 pvp engagements suitable for a gang like us, and after all we loose a kessie and a rifter, having lots of action and fun!
I LOVE this thing.
Of course, there so many things the player base should understand about the FW, and some think that has to be improved by the Devs (like, for istance, doing anything necessary to make missions more intriguing and lovable).
But i really think that CCp has found something great and funny for the gamers, and they should do all the steps to keep the right way, taking care about the FW and doing anything necessary to make this beatiful seed become a beatuful tree!
Thanx for fun CCP, don't let us down.
P.S. Think about a FW forum, there are so many usefull and interesting posts spread all ove the board... ;)
