They aren't battleground, there are just systems that can be captured through non-pvp goals and players can intervene and attack. Open your map and set the star colour to system occupancy. Those are the systems that are fought over.

He's probably using mwd-sniper-ravens and dedicated inty tacklers. Works a lot better if you have bubbles of some kind but of course those don't work in lowsec.

Sounds like it, but it isn't. If you actually take part in FW fleets, you'll find it's nothing like battlegrounds in WoW at all. It's actually a lot like 0.0 fleet warfare but without the bubbles and with roles for every ship type. The consequences and fights are just as real as any other avenue of PvP gameplay.

Apparantly this part of FW came prenerfed, the number of points needed to take over a system was artificially high initially and they'll be adjusting it downward as they see what kind of force players can achieve.

And as to why I am asking, its because I want to kill them all! I dont want to join a crappy side, I want to be the fifth side that kills, caldari, gallente, amarr, and minmatar! Thats why, I will not join any of those ****ty FW groups. 8)
Careful, those "****ty FW groups" are responsible for some pretty big fleets and pretty damn good kills. RA understimated FW players, and not just with the carrier kills. I wish you luck with it but remember that you're not going up against blobs of disorganised missionrunners. These are pilots who signed up specifically to PvP and a lot of the time I'm surprise by how organised they are.
