I know that but there are so many ways to go and the fact that im not focusing on any main objectives kinda messes up the skill plan.

Watch some video, find which gameplay you prefer, skill for that (even if you have to crosstrain, it's just a game after all).

i would train all learning skills at least to level 4 first then if you still don't know what to learn you can train skills every ship will benefit from like navigation or engineering skills

He there,
I would also say to skill up the skills you got now. If you want to play this game for another year or two, skilling up Learning (to level 5) is imo the best thing to do first (before you contemplate what else to do). All my char's have finished their learning skills first, so that will save me time in the end.
After the learning skills you could start with the hardening skills for shields and armor, that will keep you busy for say a month or 3. Electronic skills can come to be useful as well (signature analysis, longe range targeting, multitasking, that sort of stuff).
Navigation is always a good one to completely skill up, so that would be another couple of weeks i should say.
However, where to go is a good question which can be asked in different steps: 0. Do you like to work alone or in a group? 1. Do you like to do a specific career path (pvp, pve, production, trade, exploration)? 2. What ship do you want to fly (bc, bs, marauder, ew thingies)
Best thing is, you can do all of that even if you have chosen a specific carreer. So, hope this helps you a bit,
Regards,

Edited by: edtheshed on 16/06/2008 13:00:12 leadership skills ftw tbh, in gangs you're v popular if you give good bonuses
either that or have a look through the market in the ships, and either go for a different race, or find something nice and shiny and go for it
im goin for recons now (lots of drones and electronic skills), and carrier on my alt, which is great cuz ive got a goal and i can just leave evemon in control
