Been out of the game for a loooong time. At least a year, probably longer. Anyway, want to roll a new character to see what all the new features are like, but I'd filled all three slots before. I tried to kill one but there's a 10-hour cooldown, anyone know if I can in any way accelerate that or avoid it altogether?

Make a new account. Other than that, no.

Yeah, theres no way around it. They dont want people getting drunk or something and accidentally deleting their main, so they put in the 12 hour delay or whatever to guarantee that anyone deleting really means it. _________________ [IMAGE REMOVED] -- aka Cpt Bogus -- Is that my torped sig cloaking your base?

it also prevents alt recycling for ganking. the character exists for 12hrs which also likely allows easier tracing for GMs if someone makes a "disposable" does something against the EULA and then deletes, the character exists on the grid for a minimum of 12hrs.

Well, other than deleting... you can transfer a character to another account and it costs 20 bucks - that's a "faster" way to free a slot.

Okay, thanks all. Set up a 14-day trial to check it out.

Haha. Ever had one of those days when you open up EVE and it tells you there's a termination countdown?
