there are three women in my corp alone. And oddly enough they are the top three officers...odd how women seem to always rise to the top...
actaully we just got a new player who is a chica as well...
There is a fair number of women in EVE, but i don't think the advertise due to the addle brained men who would bother them :)
The stories I could share of a certain corp chica getting hit on and bascially harassed in EVE is CREEPY!!! Must be something in the juice you Str8 boys drink :P

those reasons would be nutz bothering you, Creepy people and such. But you girls aren't the only targets.
you want to hear about creepy people after you because of pics...I have a few semi naughty pics on a mixed CD a friend made that seemed to have gotten out in The north west, I don't normally mind the body is a beautiful thing and Iĉm comfortable with ME and my parts.
BUT I received an Email from a CREEPY guy what went on for three pages about how he would make me his "sleepy boy" and how he likes to use chloroform. the weirdest part was about rubbing ash on my feel while I was passed out...the oddity of that was disturbing. Of course then he sent another mail with pictures of some other guy he had made his "sleepy boy"...
SO i totally support women NOT putting their pictures out there simply beaus if you look at the percentage of men, 90% or so are Str8 which means your more likely to have psychopaths come after you girls. Fortunately the good folks at CCP have made it impossibly to steal important information, just goes to show you that they care about their customer base.
