I have been reading over the stickies and older threads and I have a question that I did not see answered.
Scenerio: I have an alt who is in a brand new corp by himself with the correct faction to launch a POS in .6 space. This alt can not fly a hauler or a freighter but has corp management and anchoring skills trained. My hauling character is in another corp that I cannot leave atm due to having some long BPO's in research labs at an alliance lab. Can I fly the POS out to the moon in my hauling characters ship, jettison from hauler then have my alt click on the POS and anchor it for his corp?
If this is really confusing, and it seems that way to me, please feel free to tell me a better way of doing this. I have both a Itteron Mark V and a freighter, if I have read the database right a large tower is 8,000m3 packaged which means I can haul it out in either ship. I have the fuel purchased already in my hanger, but again the question is, can I haul it out to the POS with my hauling alt, jettison then have my other alt sitting there do the transfer into the POS?

I've never tried it but you know what, it wouldn't take you long to find out. The POS you're going to anchor is in high sec, so take your hauler and control tower to the moon and do NOT jettison it.
Your hauling alt needs to right click on it and "launch for corp" then with your in corp char right click it and anchor.
It will either tell you your not in the same corp in which your alt just needs to scoop it back up or it will anchor and snap to grid.
Now if the above works your hauling alt will not be able to fuel the control tower direct. But there's nothing stopping you taking the fuel right up to the control tower and jettisoning it for your in corp char to transfer it directly into the control tower.
Good luck and please let us know how it works out so we can advise in future. --

I've never tried it either, but...
Why don't you just train into an industrial real quick? It shouldn't take more than a day to get into an industrial, and 8000m3 is quick work for three or four expanders.
Even if you don't have your racial frigate to IV yet, it shouldn't take more than a couple of days to get to level III in whatever industrial floats your boat.

I am going to try tonight, I just don't want something weird to happen. I just see the control tower anchoring and then me not being able to fuel it.
I can train up indy, its just that with two other characters either freighter or transporter trained I hate retraining skills.

Have the hauler jettison the tower, have the alt jettison something nearby, then have the alt flip the tower into the alts jet can so it becomes their property?

tbh your only "real" choice is to train the toon for industrial ships. The toon that anchors the thing is in a different corp, you will need him/her in an industrial to anchor other mods/fuel/ammo the tower. Why go through all the hassle of xferring stuff from one to another for the sake of a couple hours training?
Dont quote me, but i dont think "launch for corp" is possible from a jet can.

How difficult is it to train for a tier 1 industrial, such as a Badger I or Iteron MkI?

Really easy, only requires <race> frigate III and spaceship command III before you can train the <race> industrial skill. You could train into an industrial within a day. Not sure about the badgers, but if training for gallente, train to at least lvl 3 for an iteron III and skip the II and I. Only a couple more hours extra to get to level 3.
