Well, I'd say EVE fleets can get too massive for this idea. Maybe it can be made so that it only opens a webcam window when somebody is speaking, or video feeds only from commanders.
I think this is a good idea, but the wrong game for it. You are definitely onto something, though. :)

Well i have another idea. Why not implement something like..."evemsn" ? Where we will be able to transfer files each other and stuff. What about eve spaces ? where we can make our own blog/website or something. Maybe put some flash games in a list in local to select and play.
Forget about all these. I got teh l337 idea.
I found a great way for ccp to earn much much money so they can get even better hardware.

eve voice isnt that bad
i can even still use it while i am tabbed out of game and when fighting the caldari blob we have had absolutly no lag with it which is surprising since the grid didnt even load with people on it
and the entire battle was invisible for a while but eve voice still trooped on

we could do EvE-Fitness that way!
10 push ups or the ship won't undock!
20 push ups 10% rof or mining yield or drone damage for 10 minutes
50 push ups faction bs spawn
100 push ups officer spawn
and all that transmitted live to a GM for judgement!
boobs don't need to do push ups ofc

I think this would be the most quickly deactivated feature ever released in a game, even beating eve voice (though now i've used eve voice in fw i prefer it to vent or ts)
No one here (save a small group of weirdos who want to use there eve web cams for cyborz  ) would want this.
No one would use it.
And most of all if you did want it why not use an out of game video chat program and therefore not effect the developement of much more sensible features.
