I was thinking, Why cant EVE be webcam comatible. I mean its really not that hard to link in a live video stream into a running game. It would make comunication alot easyer and when a Live dev meeting would come aorund everyone would just hook up and watch the news just like everyone dose at home after work.
Also all the nerds and geeks out here couldent hide behind your keybords!!! it would make the game alot more interesting to invite someoen to a video convo and see there reaction and watch them scream and pout about there ship bwing blon up. Or even if u and a few buddies are mining it would be alot easyer to keep eachother awake just scream when u see there face fall on the desk.
I think it owuld bring a HUGE new aspect to the MMO gameing universe, if CCP wants to make this game better then anyother game in the world. They need to do somthing no one elce has ever tried. Its not like this wwould be inposbale. just would reqwier some new blades and some patches, "where it the patch for eve voice it still crash's my computer". and alot of money. the ony HUGE problem i could see id a **** load more of lag. But if CCP can fix that like run the video feeds through a few buffers and then use 1-2 blades to keep the feeds going i dont see what the problem could be.
im probly going to get alot of nos Hell nos dude ur crazy and ****zle but this post was worht a try

Just what we need, more lag from a feature 95% of the population won't use.
No, it won't keep anyone from hiding behind the keyboard because having a working webcam setup is not going to be mandatory.

No offense, but I don't think adding player faces to the game (mine included) will make the game any better. Pretty avatars designed (for the most part) by highly skilled artists totally trumps my ugly mug 7 days a week. It would be funny though to see people all dressed up for the part with plastic wrap all over their face.

uh true id dont recall saying this feture would be manditory its amzing how open ur mind is to new ideas m8.
also even IF U DONT HAVE a webcam the people who DO can talk to people who dont Same thing as Vent when peopl dont have a mic they an still lissen.
And Its not like people ho are in 300man fleets are going to be webcaming ur a noob if u even thought that. Im tlaking about when u get like 4-5 people in a op togeather who dont wana type and would rather video con.....
ANd what do u mean 95% of he people wont use it? dude look at youtube there are a **** load of people on there who arnt afrade to show there face.

Serious Answer:
1. The lag added would be substantial and could be easily abused by a small group of people trying to cause lag (hey gais, lets all create alts, log on as them, and then all open webcam connections!)
2. Almost any attempt to communicate using this method would be met with a live image of my victim/ransomer's balls
3. We already have EVE voice, a low-resolution image of a face won't aid in communication

all im saying is it would be a nice feture that NO ONE ELCE ON EARTH HAS EVER inplimented into a online game. Not becasue its unrealalistic but becasue they take stupid satistics that are only one way sided.
And there not willing to spend the $$ to make and install the corect sripts

While it would definitely be a first, it wouldn't really provide any benefits in game, and I don't think the extra server load justifies the novelty.

true some people would be subjected to genetals and thats when u file a pettiton with a screenshot showing ur being abused and that person... not only gets kicked from eve but there entire IP port adress gets banned Forever.
but most people who play eve arnt that pererted and its not like u would be forced to join the video chat thats why people would just click the reject button or block the player altogeather.
it would be the same thing as a eve voice convo invie or normal PM....

Imagine all the states that you play eve in...
Now imagine that other people could see you in those states.
I don't always shower/dress/spruce myself up when I sit down to game...do you HONESTLY want to see me or any of the other 30000 people who maybe forgot to say...put in their fake eye, or get dressed, or shave after 3 years and a trip through a rain forest?
If you want to cyber or get your little webcam stuff on...do it somewhere else...PLEASE not in my EVE though.

I aktualy liek this idea. If progamers can make sumthing like a small konsole to view players when takling, it woudl bring a new view to roll play.
It is liek make belief. Press one butan and talk to squad leader. Woudl be kool to dress up in a space custome while flying in Eve.
So totaly kool.

a battle recorder would be kinda interesting, record laged out fights and see what actually happened, in both lag time and psudo real time.
and use a CCP app to replay it out of game, then we could fraps that and make very nice movies.
