This means roaming gangs, mercenary contracts, and piracy - all day, every day; we have little time for anything else. We operate with positive standings at a bare minimum and we rely on nothing but our own wit and talent. As many who have come to know us over the years will tell you, we specialize in cold, calculated destruction without mercy, remorse, or second thought of collateral damage. We are cohesive, we are single-minded, and we are efficient. Since our inception four and a half years ago, we focus particularly on small gang combat. Large-scale fleet engagements are rare; we prefer the quick and dirty over endless hours of posturing and waiting. Slacker Industries is also privy to an extensive capital fleet - one which rivals (and often exceeds) corporations and alliances twice our size. We are currently members of the Cruel Intentions alliance, whose members include Spartan Industries and Art of War; two of the finest corporations in Eve. As a corporation, we make up the primary combat force during the North American primetime, with the remainder of the alliance filling in for European and Asian timezones. Rest assured, regardless of your particular time of day, there will always be a wingmate available. What are we looking for in a recruit We are a corporation that strives for intelligence, both in and out of game. We realize that, while skillpoints may be a limiting factor to your Eve existence, they do not define who you are as a pilot. When we recruit, we look for team players who can function both in small gangs and large fleets; pilots who can not only follow orders but also understand the tactical reasoning behind those orders and improvise if needed. We look for leaders who are willing to fight outnumbered and, if required, sacrifice themselves for victory. Most of all, we look for pilots who realize that combat in Eve isn't just about getting killmails, but instead an ongoing romance between strategy and reflexes. We hold motivation, loyalty, and participation above all other values - put your heart into it, regardless of your skill level, and you will garner our respect. While we take what we do seriously, weÆre not incredibly intense 23x7 (as indicated most obviously by our corp name). We strike, what we believe, to be the perfect balance in our gameplay. Eve should most definitely not be a second job, but we do recognize that there is more to the game than camping one system and killing shuttles to show off our e-peen. What we can offer you Both our corporation and alliance are highly selective in their recruits, so you will be flying with proven players who are more than capable. Every pilot can fly their chosen ship to the limits, and there is virtually no dead weight. Likewise, we are very group oriented - so you will not find yourself flying alone. Logistically, we can help you move whatever ships you need moved to our current base. While we are not industry based, we do have the infrastructure in place to offer a complete range of discounted T2 and capital ships. Requirements While we look for deeper traits than these, we do require some low standards for security and management purposes. Required - both Teamspeak and Ventrilo (microphone is required) - 15 million skillpoints, at minimum. - You must be self sufficient. What should I expect if I apply? We have recently changed our application process from a one on one interview to a public, forum-based application that the entire corporation can participate in. While this public application may seem a bit off-putting, we do take it seriously as it gives all of us a chance to get an impression of you (and you of us) before the final decision is made.
