Just a note for anyone with multiple installations of Eve on one or more machines.
Once the first Launcher has downloaded and run before clicking the [Play] button note the small spanner button at the top right of the screen. Click this and in the window that opens click the GÇÿPatchesGÇÖ tab. This will allow you to save and reload the patch to save you downloading it many times.
You may still have to download the Launcher for each client before you can use the saved patch. This should only need doing once for each client and it will automatically update from there on.
There are other setting within this settings window you might like a quick look at as well.
Otherwise, set a long skill, and good luck to all, may the patch be with you . |

In addition to patchnotes: Over 9000 of secret unpublished modules removed from inventory. We dont need that junk anyway. First world problem resolved: word "Defence" changed to "Defense" in item names and descriptions. Iteron Mark IV Quafe Ultra Edition, Men's 'Quafe' T-shirt YC114, Women's 'Quafe' T-shirt YC114 were added to inventory. 'Exotic dancers" renamed to "Exotic Dancers, Female". "Exotic Dancers, Male" added. Also item renames from devblog (excluding missile launchers): http://community.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&nbid=9130

"Control towers in wormhole space no longer reveal distance in the Control Tower Management window."
This has an odd consequence for role players. In the AJ project (specifically, project compass; its in the Wiki) the location of several stars in w-space was determined by placing POSes in those systems, seeing their distance to POSes in known space, and doing the math. With this change, that method will no longer work. OK, but what about the previous results? The RP community needs to decide if those results should remain valid.
CCP: Were we role players making use of a feature you never intended to be part of the game? If so, then the Project Compass results need to be discounted. It would be like it never happened. And it was an huge amount of work and isk to get those results.
CCP: Does this change to distance readouts have a lore type reason why it suddenly changed? Or should we consider that it was always not working for W-space POSes and toss out all our work? I am running for the CSM. Take a look at my ideas. http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |

1. A GÇ£View market detailsGÇ¥ button has been added to the GÇ£Modify OrderGÇ¥ window. 2. Double clicking on an order will now open up the market details for that item type.
For number 2: YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU CCP! I remember putting in this request.
For number 1: I'm wondering why the button has been added to the Modify Order window. Seems like you would check its market details first, then decide on whether or not it needs to be updated, no? Am I missing? |

Got me for a bit to. Then I noticed the word or was exchanged for and:
"open OR close the window rather than open AND close the window"
So it use to be you would double click and see a window open on the first click and immediately close on the second. I am running for the CSM. Take a look at my ideas. http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |

I really miss seeing what day it is on the lower left corner of my screen, above the Eve Time. This feature was added when the Calendar function was added to the client some time back.
When the new Neocom was released, the date display went away. I've looked all over for some sort of setting to bring it back, but haven't found it.
I realize that its too late to return the date display in this next point release... and I'm probably posting this in the wrong place... but is it possible to consider adding a setting option to display today's date in the lower left corner above the time again?

So is the new launcher tool mandatory? And if so, how does it affect the way you log in? will you be still be able to click on the desktop icon to log in? Or will you just have to go through the launcher every time? |

And its CCP being stupid again; from said thread:
CCP Optimal wrote:We intentionally removed the date. It was initially added to draw attention to the fact that clicking that area would open up the calendar rather than due to anyone feeling that displaying the current date in such a prominent place was necessary. Now, with the new Neocom, the calendar has it's own button making it easily accessible, and the current date is clearly displayed within that window. We don't remove things like these because we're evil, but rather because we don't feel that the information being displayed is important enough to justify taking up valuable screen space.
Not sure if, optimal ever looked at the thread again though. :(

Why did you feel the need to remove the T2 BPO information from the market?
How can I make an educated decision on whether I should invent a T2 component if I don't have a list of materials that are needed to produce it? Is there another *in game* location where I can find this information? There are no contracts for the BPC I'm looking for...
Edit: I'm assuming the Auto-Link will still work, right? |

Did the other 47 DED complexes get taken out? The features page says 50 new ones have been added, the patch notes only list 3:

Crucible 1.5 patch notes wrote:- In Character Creation and Re-Customization, the four portrait snap shots now retain all the background, pose and lighting settings of the portrait. This will allow you to quickly switch between them without changing settings, either by clicking on them or using the F1 - F4 keys.
- The idle animations of your avatar will now pause when you are making sculpting changes.
- Added a character counter to the Bio, Notepad and other similar text fields.
- Selecting a word in a text input box with a double-click or right-click (to link the item) is no longer including trailing spaces which makes linking much easier.
- It is now possible to use both the dot and the comma as decimal delimiter when typing or pasting decimal values, for example when creating market orders.
- Paragraphs are no longer jumping around in edit fields, for example, when editing the bio.
And there was much rejoicing.
Quote:- Period, comma and numpad-period, can now all be used as decimal marker regardless of OS, Regional settings, client or languageID.
What about numpad comma?
Quote:- Sun occlusion causing white screen flash on some ATi hardware has been fixed.
Happens on NVidia hardware too, is it fixed there?

I suppose it means that over 50 instances of the new sites was added. Not 50 new types. CCP really please dont use Upgraded, Limited, Experimental-áand Prototype in item names. It sounds like the item is actually worse than basic meta 1 item. Use Calibrated, Enhanced, Optimized and Upgraded. Its really easy to understand that the item is better than meta 1 and its also in alphabetic order. |

Quote:The Dual Modal Giga Pulse Laser I has now only one overheat bonus just as it was intended and is now in line with the other lasers of the group. Can still not be fitted on live sharks.
This is a really serious problem that i think CCP should fix right away. It's discriminating toward sharks and just wrong. All sharks should have the right to put laz0rz on their head, especially the Dual Modal Giga Pulse version of laz0rz. We won't take this shark oppression anymore! The shark community will rise and eat the Jita monument if this tyranny continues. They've had enough. Be warned.
While they're at it they could add real sharks to EVE...
(Ashimmu and Cruor not included. You can already put laz0rz on them.)
Nice expansion otherwise... looking forward to it. |
