I need to setup a new high-sec POS in Gallente space so I kicked out my alt from the corp to get the standings up. My personal Gallente standing is 8.91 unmodified, and I'm the only corp member. I know the change will take some time, but as of today, 3 downtimes have passed but the standings haven't moved at all.
I thought it might be a display bug and tried to anchor the tower anyway, but got the message that my Gallente faction standing is only 4.5 and needs to be 7.0 (I tried it in a 0.7 system).
Any hints to how get it moving? Do I need to run an important mission to trigger the change?
Are corp standings supposed to update every downtime, or just a couple of times per week?

Corp standings are updated 25% of the difference every downtime, so if corp is at 0 and you are at 5, you will get 1.25 corp standing on day 1.
Doing a storyline might help.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll have to find a lvl 1 agent and grind some quick missions then.

Sometimes it a cache problem. Clear it and relog.

Actually following the first DT the rise is 44% then subsequent days are 25% No idea why this is, but I have proved this countless times during standings transfers to my customers corps.
here is an example progression
Average standing of all members = 5.0
Day 1: 2.19
Day 2: 2.89
Day 3: 3.42
Day 4: 3.81
Day 5: 4.11
The following are actual figures achieved during the last 2 DT's on a customers corp. I joined 4 hours before the first DT.
My standing = 9.99
Day 1: 4.37 (actual)
Day 2: 5.78 (actual)
Day 3: 6.83 (projected)
Day 4: 7.62 (projected)
Day 5: 8.21 (projected)
