just got a fresh install of peppermint 2, got wine, managed to install eve ok, logged in but when i went log on one of my characters it crashed. im not linux savy so any help would be great.
pc spec
athlon ii x3
4gb ram

You're probably using captains quarters. Try disabling station environment (after you logged on but before you picked a character). |

ah'right, I'm bamboozled by this.
Updates all worked fine, eve loads up great gets to character screen, I clicksy on one of me and the whole computer locks up and I mean boom......
System is AMD Phenom N850 tri core (64 bit) with onboard ATI GFX and newest version of catalyst (2.12 I believe)
Ubuntu 10.04 lucid
I've turned off station environment in settings, reduced everything to lowest but nadda...... It's trying to get into QC so how do I change it to load into station??? Am I missing some noob setting somewhere???
Appart from that it seems to want to play but it's because it's trying to get int QC and this is the first time I'm trying to run eve since I rebuilt this computer....... |

OP here, different character. i managed to update my wine to 1.4 and changed something on the libraries which managed to make it work, which i read from another post. played for day then the new patch came out and when i click load on the launcher i get a error.
any ideas? ill be browsing through otehr post but a point in the right direction would be nice. |

Hi
See the other threads from today. You need to revert the libraries to as they were for the launcher to patch, then put them back as they are now for the game.
Easiest way is to save settings for each applcation - see detail in the other thread.
