ok people lets think about this like eve players not WoW rejects. First its my understanding to use a plex u must right click it and pick actavate {spelled way wrong o well} So if ur alts account is INACTIVE how are u going to use that plex on ur INACTIVE accounts char as u cant log into it to use it. But u can contract it to them u just cant logon to them to accept the contract and use to add time as u have no time. So unless im missing something the ANSWER most likely would be a big huge fat

I still have a question as per my previous post...
What I know how to do is this:
* I know how to buy PLEX pilots license cards in game for isk either in the market or through contracts.
* I know how to trade my isk for game time via the forums and via the in game trading chat channels.
* I know how to buy GTC's from CCP's website and securely sell them to people for isk.
* I know how to INSTANTLY add time to my account via CCP's website.
What I want to know how to do:
What is the procedure to instantly transfer money into either PLEX cards or game time cards WITHOUT having to involve SNAIL mail while purchasing through the CCP website?
How does a person do this? I must have missed something somewhere.

Why not separate "SELL" and "BUY" forums?
In GTC trade forums, buyers is much more aggressive than sellers, and is to hard to maintain prices close to "real" average. As well the activity in GTC forum is quite high, sell offers usually wiped down by WTB requests in 10 minutes.
Ideally we'd like to move away from forum based sales, how to do this is under consideration.

We're currently discussing the bumping of threads internally. Please continue to use once per day until further notice.

This would be a huge step to getting rid of all the fake buyers messing up this forum.

For those asking for the purchasing of PLEX, you can do so in game on the various regional markets.

Currently you'll need to access a third-party site for instant transfer of GTC.

You have to buy a 60-day GTC and convert it to two 30 day PLEXs via the escape menu in game.
Hit escape and follow the instructions for PLEX.

CCP Explorer detailed how to use GTCs on expired accounts.
Originally by: CCP Explorer
Originally by: Tigaro Spiritor Any idea when you will allow applying the ETC to another expired account?
You can always apply the ETC code to an expired account through the account management web site. To buy, sell and apply a PLEX token you need to be in-game.

Hmm what do you mean by third-party? And how safe is it? If there is a legit and safe site that you know of? I want to get one GTC but as i said somewhere else, do not wish to pay $10-$20 just to get a piece of plastic shipped to me. I must say the whole PLEX system really catches my attention :) Genious! But CCP ought to offer the purchase of the code by itself without the plastic or like apaco lypse said above, having good locations to buy from. Say Wal-mart?? hehe...

I am looking to buy my first GTC. Having never done this before I am a little nervous about how to do it.
I have an expired account I would like to restart - now I am not sure exactly how this works I have read as much as I can but it still seems a bit vague when it comes to buyers (I think I could sell no problem with all the reading I have done but buying is a bit of a mystery)
I went to my expired account's and I am not sure where I would accept a GTC, does it suddenly appear on the main page or is it under Subscription Details? I just would like a bit of clarification as to once I buy one what should I expect to see. (the only detail I get is it will be somewhere in account management)

Will PLEX cards stabilize the market for GTC, or will the price for PLEX cards inflate indefinitely like GTCs? If they do inflate based on CCP increasing the costs, is there any reason not to invest in them in game?

In the past I had to buy GTC from CCP's web site and have it posted to me. I was subjected to postage and import tax making them not worth buying imo.
If there is a way to buy a GTC buy crediting my account somehow and have the card delivered to my character in game to avoid this. If there is not I would like to make this as a suggestion for the future of GTC trading.

I posted 2 GTCs using secure sell. One sold. The other took a while, so I checked the recent posts for the buyer, and they looked like time wasting. So I reloaded the page and cancelled the sale. I then proceeded to find a new seller.
Upon finding a new seller, I found that the suspicious buyer had accepted the transaction, the timecode was sold, and the ISK received.
Question is.... how did they accept a cancelled transfer? |

I am an occasional GTC seller. Some may find this of interest, others may quit whenever they please.
I won't make an sell offer to anyone who advises, "Find me in the game" or any statement which leads me to believe they are not ready to transact now.
I only sell when I check the forum and see GTCs are going for a price - right now - which I find worth my while to go through the process. When I sell, I want to sell right now. If my offer to sell is not claimed by the buyer in about ten minutes, and believe me I'm not going to launch a search party for them, I cancel.
My offer to sell will drop off the front page of the forum in less than thirty minutes and will most likely never be seen by a buyer again. That means I have to sell what I have now to get the price which made it interesting for me in the first place, or wait 24 hours to post again when prevailing prices may be quite unattractive to me. If that begins to happen, I will probably stop selling altogether and apply whatever few GTCs I am stuck with to my own account. My absence as a seller will be quite inconsequential in the grander scheme of things, except if like minded sellers do the same thing and I then become part of a trend. That trend will move prices higher when fewer GTCs are made available to sell here.
Sellers only sell because it is attractive for them to do so. I'm not selling what is backing up in a warehouse and must be cleared out with whatever price I can get. GTCs are not last year's cars filling up showrooms or tons of apples rotting in railcars - they are a service to players who do not have the means to purchase them on their own. Yes, I like the ISK in my account, but ISK tends to "stack up" for experienced players. I don't "need" to sell GTCs. At the same time, there are many buyers who "need" to buy them.
Currently, there are more buyers than sellers, so "motivated buyers" are willing to linger in the forum long enough to buy making sales happen quickly - that is if the sellers manage their transactions by cancelling offers not claimed propmptly. The nature of this item almost makes it a sure thing to always have more motivated buyers than sellers. Sellers are probably only motivated when they need to fund a POS and misfortune has befallen them in the game or some such situation. Buyers need to fund their accounts every month. If there are more motivated sellers, they will linger in the marketplace longer and take the going price. I, and many other sellers like me, will not become one of those willing to linger in the marketplace for hours to make a transaction happen. If the market turns that way, we will simply walk away and that will shrink the available number of GTCs to be sold.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of fake buyers who want to grief sellers by making an offer they do not intend to claim as their way of protesting prices. I am not going to fall victim to these cretins by letting my offer to sell lay unclaimed for two days or even for twenty minutes. That kind of behavior only drives the price up as it drives sellers away. Fewer sellers means fewer GTCs available, so the prices go up. The fake sellers have been quite active for the couple of months I've been selling and where have prices gone? Up. My question to them is, "How is it working so far?" I believe these griefers hurt buyers far more than sellers. I can control how much I get hurt while buyers may not have that flexibility when their subs start running thin.
I just thought I'd share one seller's view. I started out only to advise buyers that most seller's I've observed seem to treat the transactions in this marketplace with a rhythm more like a gas station than a catalog sales outlet. In other words, if you are not ready to transact right now - come back when you are.
I expect there might be some other opinions.
Thank you. |

I am assuming you bought both of these GTCs from another player on this GTC Forum. If that is so, the answer is no.
You may get some help by submitting a petition, but I'm guessing that are going to end up right where you are now - with 120 days paid up on the account of the character to which the offers were made and accepted.
When you hit that button to accept the offer, the GTC magically disappears and turns into paid days on you account. Because you don't take possession of a GTC (you get paid days added to your account) you cannot sell it. |

I was happy when I saw the PLEX first introduced and was anxious to try it out. I know a lot of players need to have an instrument which has a lower price even if the "per day cost" is a little more for the 30d Plex than it is for the 60d GTC. For example, Many Players can put together 410m easier than they can put together 800m.
Then I saw the broker fee coming out when I listed it and the transaction tax coming out when the PLEXs sold. It did not take long to realize how much of a disadvantage selling the PLEX in the market or by contract would be. Pricing the PLEX so it yields the same amount of "take away" as selling the GTC in the forum makes the PLEX a non-starter. No more of those for me.
And the answer to making the GTC forum and the in-game PLEX market/contract transactions a level playing field is NOT bringing the tax and fees to the forum.
The PLEX is not trit or a shield - it is not an in-game item. The market and contract system is just the only option you guys have to get GTCs from the authorized resellers to players without using a forum based selling mechanism. It should not have a broker fee or transaction tax.
I lost over seven million in taxes and fees when I sold two PLEXs for the same price as I could have easily gotten on the forum that day. Our Corp has sold ten PLEXs averaging losses of about 3.5 million each for fees and taxes. Ain't happening again.
I'd like to see one market place for the GTC/PLEX and I'd like to see it in-game thru the market and contracts, but not with taxes and fees - it is not a game item, it is a subscription fee.
Solve the problem of adding time to an expired account, figure out how to exempt PLEXs from all taxes and fees and get rid of the forum sales vehicle.
Thanks! |

The in-game market prices for PLEX have risen to where equity between the market and the forum sales exists for the "walk away" a seller receives from the sale.
I maintain that the PLEX, a subscription fee, should not be taxed or charged a broker fee as are other market sales of in-game items.
