The quickest way to get a response from the Community Team is to use the "report" function which is above every post.

One tip for all those people here selling time codes by getting ingame convos (trade done through Secure trade of course) remember to set your CSPA charge to 0 by clicking your Evemail right clicking inbox and clicking settings. I had mine set to 1mil as a joke on a friend and later when I sold a GTC now one ever messaged me untill someone posted i was a scammer in the forum post X). just a heads up.

I have an account paid up by credit card for another 20 days. If I buy a 60 day GTC will I then have 80 days of time paid up? Will I have to cancel the credit card payments or will it cancel automatically? sXe |

Hello,
I would like to ask a very serious question.
Considering the last price-growth of GTCs, isnt it possible, that a few user abuse the system to drive the price up? Like: Creating fake-threats and sell the GTCs to higher prices everyday wih their alts, alt account or other involved users? (Its not like there is a GTC-deficit atm and considering market-analysis and classical market-behavior, it is possible in a very easy way).
Is there a protection from CCPs side to avoid such behavior?

Are you talking about the WTS topics selling ETC's for 800 mill and 999 mill showing up today? If so, it's because by tomorrow, ghost skill training will be stopped. This is causing the ETC's to be worth MUCH more isk.

I think he is referring to the sell orders 100-300 mil above average that sell like hotcakes while there are far cheaper gtc's still available. Bit strange that if there are 3 sell orders at 480-520 ppl would pay 600-700 mil i mean idiots can be found anywhere i know but it seems odd to say the least.
(no i havent done a indepth market analysis, i am just a guy looking for a few gtc for a few chars every 60 days)

Edited by: Johnster on 18/10/2008 06:36:18 Something is seriously wrong when people can get a fitted carrier for an hour's real life work. The current prices are an exploit -- the worst one to ever hit eve.
.. oh, and about the ghost training... I wonder how many of those "growth characters" are people that have simply given up on paying for timecodes? How many couldn't afford them and were forced out of eve, leaving the skill running?
The current system needs to be moved to the ingame market *or* ccp need to moderate the prices here.
You and your alliance will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile.

The main reason i have found that people pay there isk's for time codes is this.. i have a friend in egland that buys them because the same 60 days woth of play on his credit card would cost hime well over $80 us. (his qoute, not mine) don't know if that is true but it would be a good reason to buy the cards.

To avoid "bumps" and enforce forum laws,
Why not separate "SELL" and "BUY" forums?
In GTC trade forums, buyers is much more aggressive than sellers, and is to hard to maintain prices close to "real" average. As well the activity in GTC forum is quite high, sell offers usually wiped down by WTB requests in 10 minutes. |

Just a quick question regarding bumping GTC WTB and WTS orders.
Here CCP Fallout states that bumping is not allowed.
Here CCP Navigator states that bumping is allowed once every 24 hours.
And anyone who has watched the Timecode Bazaar knows bumping frequently happens within minutes of the op. So, what is the proper method of bumping?

A suggestion to help everyone get their time codes faster.
Step 1. I buy my time codes from the CCP website.
Step 2. I twiddle my thumbs until it arrives in the mail.
Step 3. I get online and enter the code.
I do not see ANY reason that CCP can't BYPASS Step 2. (Note: I might watch some paint dry or maybe watch the grass grow, but you get what I am saying.)
Why waste fuel, money and trees on shipping something that is going to get tossed in the trash as soon as my eyeballs see it for 10 seconds?
On that same secure page where I may trade a timecode to someone else.. Why not just display the code that I just purchased? Why the delay through the mail for nothing?
We need instant gratification... and in this case, it is environmentally friendly, too!

Edited by: Slinkus Gallentus on 29/10/2008 23:18:55 Don't wait until the last minute to buy your time code. Give yourself as much time as possible and don't offer to pay silly ISK for it. If everyone thinks like this the prices will come down.
REMEMBER THIS:
1. the seller has paid real money to buy the code.
2. if no one buys at his price then it is dead money for him. YOU are only paying ISK. This is not dead money to you.
3. Ideally start looking for a code 1 month before you need it. This gives you plenty of time to wait for the right price.
4. Do not try and outbid other buyers. This plays into the sellers hands and keeps the prices high.
You only need to plan ahead and think, and you can make the prices come down for everyone.
cheers

Please, post in your sticky that buying a GTC in a WTS thread is BINDING provided the GTC is contracted within 30 minutes (or whatever other timeframe you prefer).
This would be a huge step to getting rid of all the fake buyers messing up this forum.
PS: a big thank you *not* to GM Twinni for ignoring me
