Okay, Satrani and I are hosting a free lottery for newer players, although all are welcome to join. He is providing the most of the prizes by a grand margin, so give the thanks to him when you receive a Domi Web or a faction cruiser. ;)
Anyway, we'll be giving out valuable items, ships, and plenty of ISK on a regular basis, so just drop by whenever you want.
There is a 10k verification charge, just to prove that you were interested enough in EVE to complete the first mission.
You can buy more than one ticket for diminishing returns
1st ticket: 10k
2nd ticket: 1 mil(yes, it's x100 this ticket)
3rd ticket: 10 mil
4th ticket: 100 mil,
and so on...I don't expect we'll get past the 2nd ticket, so the rest are basically if you want to donate and get a reward.
This time we'll be giving out a :
Phantasm Class Cruiser and 2.5 million ISK as a second prize.

Just corfirming my involvment in this event and to back up Sec's claims of a free Phantasm.
This is the 3rd such lottery in the series and at 10 isk/ticket you can't lose.

Great effort. Just got 2 small things I'd love to verify tho.
Obviously Securitas Protector posted the lottery. But is he also the receiving character for the confirmation isk?
And is there a specific draw time/date and way off??? Is it a random ticket out of a hat draw whenever
all slots are filled??? Is it based on a national lottery. Maybe on the weather system???
Srry not trying to be sarcastic. Even if it would be a scam, which I'm not implying. You can have the 10k lol.
Even better. Please verify me whatever method of draw is being used. And verify the receiving character.
And I'll even send you 1mil for just 1 ticket as a token of appreciation for this lottery.
Ohh and I'd hereby like to reserve #13 ;) for whenever the above does get verified.

Securitas is the guy who is doing the admin so the verification fee should be sent to him.
Draw takes place once all slots are filled but in the interests of fairness and being as open and above board as possible In my opinion maybe using a public lottery bonus ball as the way of choosing a winner would be more transparent.
No scam here, the fee is so low a 1 hour old noob could enter so seasoned players shouldn't even think about giving out 10k for the chance to win such a prize. We aren't out to rip you off but just to give something to the community for the hell of it.
Much appreciated for the 990k isk donation.

I'm all for anything that encourages players to get involved -- and who doesn't love to win stuff.
But -- and don't take this the wrong way -- how is it a 'free lottery for newer players' if there's a '10k verification charge'? Do verified 'newer players' get a refund later?
Just asking for clarity's sake.
Oh, and your idea of using a real lottery draw as your source is pretty good.

Ok so it's practically free if not literally, but 10k isk is really not much. Hell newbies start with half that in their wallets anyway and after merely 10 minutes of mission running or mining with a civilian laser they can have the other 5k.
Did you choose your number yet?

Sorry Sikander it's literally the luck of the draw I'm afraid. If it's any consolation neither of the numbers that came up were ones that you chose so at least you know that you didn't lose due to someone else having your number.
Sec I haven't contracted the ship to you because I didn't know what you wanted to do, whether you wanted to wait and see if your friend could sort things out from your account or if you just wanted me to contract the prize straight over to the winner. Makes no diff to me but seeing as you are not accessing your account I think it would just be faster for me to make the contract out to the winner.
Lemme know.

Convo'd Jorge Belda and congratulated him on his win. He was suprised as hell and didn't even recognise me when I convo'd him which was fun. Made the contract and he accepted.

Sec and I are just working things out at the moment and will post a new lottery soon.
There is probably going to be 2 lotteries per week now. On will be a free lottery with some faction mods upto a value of about 50m and the other will be a paid lottery for prizes upto a value of 250m.The paid lottery will (hopefully) bring in enough to run both paid and unpaid events.
We will also be bringing back The Rat Race Treasure Hunt where you are given an initial clue which leads to others and finally the prize. Lots of fun to come so watch this space.
