If you go closer you'll just go through the planet..
And when you reach the middle you'll get bumped out really fast..

simple you have to use the real zoom instead of just moving the camera drones closer to your ship.
but as you can see yes it's low rez as sin.

CCP videos were always ingame captured.
The latest one seems to be very different from the real game:
¦ Effects
¦ Explosions
¦ Planets extremely big (like they should be imo, it is so cool in the video)
¦ The whole universe seems to be better and more cool
¦ Even ships do not look so good in the real game
So... did you edited the video?
Or is it an upcoming expansion?
But even though we will see those cool things in the future, why do you put them in the vide now?!

Don't blame him, a dev did say it's what they want eve to look like in 2-3 years.

That's true, and I believe him, especially with the last 3 years of technological advancement in the graphics part, I mean, look at games like crysis, it looks soo good it's unreal. Imagine 3 years from now, yep, very possible.
plus it could of cooled better if they really went full bown I mean that planets is just an image nothing is moving it's just high rez.
the ships are just the same models used now in better rez and with better lighting, but lighting isn't hard.
the effects.. sure 3 years down the road when the 8800GTS won't run it but it will be awesome.
I don't know though those explosions.. do you think a game 3 years form now could really do that in real time?

I think that they made the trinity trailer to last. In other words if someone says "hey what does eve look like?" you show them the trinity trailer, There is no reason to replace the trinity trailer.
However if someone asks "what does CCP wanty eve to look like?" then you show them this.
