Windows 7 - 64bit; 8GB RAM; OS is up to date
I have one regular installation of EVE and another simple copy (copy and paste) of EVE with a configuration to the second screen on my computer (I use two monitors). Patching works fine for both clients; but it is not possible to configure the launcher on my second (just copy and paste) EVE. I want, that the launcher closes itself after starting EVE. With the regular installation it works fine but when I click at the "Setup" button of the launcher, nothing happens. Strange.
- Browsing my saved personal fittings is only possible if I click twice the button. But all fittings are gone / deleted. - Why the hell did you rename my shield hardeners? Who is that id!ot who wants to rename all my stuff? |

Who is that id!ot who wants to rename all my stuff? Do you have a hyphen in the pathname of your second copy? If the path name contains a hyphen and the directory contains a .patch file, the Settings Menu will not open. The work-around is to change one or the other (ie remove the patch or remove the hyphen). This has been fixed in version 1.06 of the Launcher.
You are right! The path for my regular installation is: "C:\Games\Eve" and the second is "C:\Games\Eve - Kopie". I deleted the "EVE_Online_344784-349998.patch" in the regalar EVE installation but it does not help. I will reboot my PC, try it again and if that does not help I will rename my copy of EVE.
Thank you "CCP Donut Golem". |

As I told before the last patch deleted my fittings in game. I have tried to import my fittings from an older exported file. The result was an error message which was as following:
File not valid
Magnetic Scattering Amplifier I 125mm 'Scout' I Accelerator Cannon Y-S8 Hydrocarbon I Afterburners Photon Scattering Field I Cold-Gas I Arcjet Thrusters Heat Dissipation Amplifier II Energized Basic Reactive Plating Caldari Navy Invulnerability Field Caldari Navy Heat Dissipation Field Large Core Defence Field Purger II Magnetic Scattering Amplifier II Heat Dissipation Amplifier I Large Core Defence Field Extender I Mining Foreman Link - Harvester Capacitor Efficiency Large Core Defence Field Extender II Invulnerability Field II Heat Dissipation Field II Ballistic Deflection Field II Photon Scattering Field II 150mm Prototype I Gauss Gun Estamel's Modified Invulnerability Field .... truncated
It seems that I can trash all fittings with renamed modules and start saving fittings from the ground. Thanks CCP for renaming modules, which was never a problem till now. -.- |

This. Clicking "browse" from the Fittings window will open the Fitting Management window, but minimized, and I'll have to click the neocom icon a few times before it comes up. Then the personal fittings window is empty. My corporate fittings are also bugged. Some fits show up, but if I click 'em, they don't show the fit as such. I can, however, drag 'n drop the fit-name to a chat window, and then proceed to click that, to see a given fit. If I navigate back to personal fittings after looking at corp. fittings, it does not refresh the thing - that is, the corp. still show. Win7, 32-bit. Adding to this, my other account's personal fittings etc. work fine. It's just on one toon. The toon in question does, however, have 40(-ish?) fits, while the other account has 4. Could this have something to do with it?
I think, that it has something to do with the new (unwanted) renaming of some modules. It seems that, if you have a fitting which contains a module with a newer (but not better ) name, the server trashes all these "special" fittings becaus of invalid and not findable names.
I am one unlucky person with an old backup of my fittings (July 2010) and a lot of shield modules and some MWD modules. The same modules with new names. |

Zedolf wrote: I did not have a backup of my fittings. D: Which is annoying, since I had all those nice CONCORD and whatever fits. (including the cockroach and the infested dominix).
I think I had exact the same fitting in my old backup. I have tried to import this and one erro was:
File not valid
..... Infested Dominix ..... ..
Now I have remembered me that I have sent some of my fittings to a person in EVE. The fittings I have sent are stored in my EVE-mail. At least I could restore some of my fittings. The old names of the modules are overwritten with the newer ones. Strange. Sometimes I think CCP hates me. |

The last patch deleted ALL my fittings. Importing my (very) old backup does not help. OK.. fine! BUT: It is not possible to save new fittings for me. I have found some of my fittings in my EVE-mail in an old mail to a buddy.
- I opened a fitting wich loaded properly. All renamed modules have the new name and the fitting is alright. - I renamed my fitting (Drones; Sansha; Gurista etc.) and tried to save THIS fitting. - Unfortunately the fitting is not showed in the list of my personal fittings.
After that, I tried to use the search field and typed: "DRONES"
Now I have several (I tried it more than once) fittings with this name in my list but not only one has a module in it. I only have the green hooklet on this fitting on the left side but when I click on this fitting; the right side with all the modules keeps blank.
You have a lot of other things to do. It is clear when I am reading this thread. But If you have time to look at it please do.
By the way; I agree with many peoples in this forum here. You got a lot of feedback in your issue threads. If its be the TEST SERVER or any other feedback / issue thread. But it is the sickness of CCP not to listen to any of them. What was with the last issue thread for the patch with these mouseOverlock changes- which you ignored at all? I mean this thread!
You must ask yourself why barely a veteran of EVE tries to help CCP to find bugs and exploits. I have given up to help CCP long time ago. No further bug report (I have a open report since Aug 2011), no petitions, no test server (Why should I? You ignore them anyway.) and the first which I could turn off on the launcher was the "Send error and usage logs to CCP".
AS IT IS- YOU DO NOT DESERVE MY HELP ANYMORE! We NOW have only a contract that you deliver a functionality game to me. You get my Euros for your work; but it is usless to help you with your work to improve the game. Find your bugs and exploits alone without me. You never listened to me anyway. |

After Day 3 with this crap you call "launcher" I have to say, that CCP fails again in a unprecedented dimension. The announced benefit, to only download patches once, is a totally lie. Every time I open this craplauncher this sh!t updates itself without any chance to load a previous downloaded patchfile. I can not abort the automatism to downloading patches every time one new patch is available. I have lost the overview of the current build of EVE and the current, at present valid, patch notes.
Please implement a link to the patch note site of eve online and please trash this fugging sh!t with Facebook; Twitter; YouTube and Google+. Are you dumb at CCP? I want to play EVE and not read a advertisement of EVE from an unsavoury website.
Show important news or a link to the patch notes in this launcher or let it be and let tis launcher die! It has no function at this moment. Downloading a patch once and use this patch several times is a lie! That does NOT work. Your whole launcher does not work at some customers computers.
Really CCP I have lost my patience with such stup!d and dumb developers. You have more than enough feedback from the test-server; more than enough proposals to REAL IMPROVE the game; and all you are able to present is renaming stuff; a idiocy "new" rookieship which is trashed within the first minutes in EVE; a messed up overview without a function of sorting and with this sh!t of MouseOverlock and a EVE launcher which keeps more players out of the game than a sexy, naughty beach party with half naked jailbaits.
Who must I cick in the arse that you awake from your dream to be the best company with the best game ever in the internet? At this moment you are ignorant id!ots who are headless looking for a bucket of water to extinguish a fire in a gas station.
ROLL BACK THIS LAST PATCH and take your sh!t "improvemts" to the overview with you. Try this crap after 6 month development again or trash the whole concept of an launcher. NOBODY WANTS THIS CRAP!
I play this game since nearly 4 years. And all I really like is the "Training Queue". The rest is not useable for me. If CCP would not had charged my bank account for the next rate for EVE, I would quit. My fire for EVE is gone... completely.
You ignore your community and you ignore me.. why should I give my money to liars and incompetend developers like CCP? |

Agonis wrote: I have a better suggestion.. roll back the launcher, rebuild the launcher to use torrent transport instead of rsync, and then world peace will ensue shortly after.
Torrent? Hell No! Worst idea ever. As stated above.. trash the unnecessary launcher. The benefit, to only download patches once, is a lie!! My launcher performs a lot of updates within the last days and was NEVER EVER able to use a previous downloaded patch to update another client. Every launcher downloaded the patch automatically and separately. It was not possible to set a folder to use the last downloaded patch! What is this crap? How is CCP able to propagandize this new feature that does not exist- with a mechanic that does not work?
The whole launcher is a bad idea - just even more crackbrained implemented.
Burn this crap in hell and roll back! Also stop renaming my modules and mouseOver locking my overview. What a$$hole had this idea to bring such a crap live on TQ? You are to dumb to bring REAL improvements to new Eden. New rookie ships? Why are you so dumb and waste your time to this crap? A useless IBIS looks now a lot better than a regular Tech I frig. You should stop trying to change thinks in EVE.. just roll back to the last known stable version of EVE; fire the whole development AND quality assurance department.
And please please STOP forcing your customers to do your bug finding. As long as volunteers decide what is a bug and what not; this does not work. They are to dumb and unschooled to identify bugs. I have several examples for that.
And do not implement new thinks when the timeline is reached.. implement it, when ALL customers on Sisi say, this is bug free; we can live with it. |

Slipnut wrote:I would like to congratulate CCP on their new launcher program.
It now shows the state of the server before you log in:
Server: Online Active Players: 17,100
But when you get to the log in screen it says: Server not accepting connections.
What the hell is that all about. I thought the idea of the launcher was to show more information no lie to you !!!!
Another improvement should be, that you have only to download patches once. But this is also a lie that does not work as promised. Furthermore the links on the NEWS side does not work and leads to a blank site in my browser. |

Chokichi Ozuwara wrote:Can't clear the cache. Really frustrating since I can't see any of my character recustomization changes.
If you have a Windows PC than go to:
"C:\Users\YOUR NAME\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\c_games_eve_tranquility" The name "c_games_eve_tranquility" will vary, depending on your installation path of EVE. You can see that I have installed EVE on my HDD under C:\games\EVE.
There you can find the "CACHE" folder, which you can delete manually. The game will set a new cache folder if you log into EVE. All other "cache-backup xx" folders are old cache folders which EVE had stored; every time you delete your cache regular in the game with the ESC-menue- and should also be deleted. Have a look at the size of these folders.
Every time you clear your cache you should also delete the backup of this old cache. I have a link of this folder in my folder where EVE is installed. So I can easy clean up my HDD. |

New patch today!
* No link to the patchnotes in your craplauncher * not possible to use the previous downloaded patch file for the second client.
During I wrote these lines: Dear players, the servers will be closing in 14 minutes for a short unscheduled reboot at GMT 16:20. Please make sure your characters are out of harm's way before the servers close.
-The EVE Online Team
Really CCP... you are to dumb to do things right.
Is there a special procedure to be able to use the previous downloaded patch file for other clients? Every time you give out another patch the craplauncher starts downloading the new patch and I am not able to interrupt the download process and use the last downloaded version. |

I think they are to dumb to be able to read. No response.. no solution of the problems.. just blabla. Your sh!tlauncher is not wanted! You lie if you claim that I can use this sh!t with previous downloaded patches. The launcher starts EVERY TIME without beeing able to use previous downloaded patches. And answer my qestion concerning the overview! What was the outcome of your questionaire concerning the overhauled overview? Can we have a feedback to our feedback? Or is it just to horrible, that CCP is not able to swank with these results?
You are unable to do things right. It seems, that I can delete this char and sh!t on CCP! |
