It has been an interesting war so far, and it will be intriguing to see where it goes, and if the Empires themselves will start dying for their causes rather then expect us to do it for them.
I agree with your assessment. However, this last point is unlikely. Capsuleers are much more expendable than the common trooper, ironically.

No doubt. Particularly when your targets apparently aren't undocking and fighting?
Or I guess they are, if you're scoring so many kills as to pale CVA's (admittedly humble) contribution to date? Interesting thought.
At any rate, I'm sure we'll continue to field our cruisers so long as they prove as useful to us per sortie as they have been...
As much as I enjoy alpha-striking Punishers, I did expect better from the Amarrians. If that's as much as they value their empire though, then that's as much as they can do I suppose. ____________________ GM Sunshine > oops Neurotica > Hate to see a GM in your gang say 'oops'

Interestingly enough, it is not CVA making cries of greatness, nor are we putting the fate of the 24th Imperial Crusade in our hands.
Though denied direct involvement by the Empire, we have been present and active in the Bleaklands. However, we cannot accomplish what the 24th Imperial Crusade is capable of accomplishing, no matter how many terrorist vessels we destroy. This is the militia's fight, in the end, whether we like it or not.
This is an out right lie. You could easily spend your vast war chest to tip the scales and put legal wardecs on involved parties. You could empower the militias with opportunity while your fleets give chase. Or you could sit, sulking in the corner and blame CONCORD for your ineptitude.

I won't deny that the Amarr are active. I've seen them in large gangs. I've lost a ship to them.
The thing is, I see us active MORE often, with MORE and larger gangs. This is probably a result of superior numbers, but the effects cannot be denied - we are winning. Roushzar - that would be the fifth system to fall?
Perhaps if they got more organized, or brought in support from the State Protectorate, they could turn the tide. But one thing is clear. Man-for-man, there is little difference in the combat capabilities of the Amarr and the Minmatar. ____________________________________ Caldari by birth, Minmatar by citizenship.

Actually, it's not. The CVA is, quite factually, incapable of capturing Matari tactical points we find on our scanners.
It's a fairly mysterious thing.
Fortunately our weapons work just fine in those deadspace pockets, so as I mentioned we're capable of destroying plenty of terrorist hardware...but in the end it doesn't matter without the dedication of the 24th Imperial Crusade.
This is, by the very definition, their fight. The CVA has and will continue to support that fight, but attempts to place their fate in our hands are foolish and futile.

Don't worry, Kaylana. Our "vast war chest" is being utilized in a manner thought most fitting by my betters. CONCORD is not to blame for the rejection of "official" CVA assistance to the 24th Imperial Crusade, though if any skulking is taking place, it is behind closed doors to rooms I lack access to. I am assigned my tasks and I obey; I do not make CVA policy, I enforce it. And I'm happy to explain it again and again to the slow of learning.

Perhaps you have more problems at home than you can handle, without adding to them by helping the 24th Crusade and its ragtag supporters?

I would like to take the time to congratulate the State Protectorate on their victory yesterday against FDU forces, you brought a good fight and much honor was shown on both sides.
The only thing that upsets me about the battle was the sudden loss of pod functionality that many, if not all, pilots involved experienced. It prevented both sides from truly utilizing their chosen tactics and soured what could have been a battle told in epics for years to come.
As always, I will see all involved in space...until then I bid you a safe flight

There will be more, don't worry. Just look forward to the day your forces shake the rust and many of our green pilots have hardened in battle. At that point you may long for these days.
Personally, I'll be enjoying every explosion, others or my own. Immortality is a wonderful thing.

Thorradin, you do realise that if the State Protectorate accumulates experience and assets, the Federal Defence Union's own experience and assets will not remain in statis so that you can conveniently roll up and fight the same force you were fighting a year ago with your veteran forces, right? If your new recruits now are veterans a year later, our current recruits will also be veterans.
You seem to have this unrealistic expectation that sometime in the future when you're better you'll still be fighting the same enemy you are now. -----
