Ok, I understand the theory ..
But ..
Why is it still sat there when I click on the extra "play" button I have to click on to start the game (2 clicks rather than 1 now .. why?) .. In fact why does it show at all, it should start up, realise there is no patch and just start eve .. Why the extra step?
Ok, so If I want 2 clients I click twice .. (Actually did this by accident as I clicked play, the crucible screen comes up, disappears and then looks like nothing happened but the launcher is still there, so I clicked play again ..)

Please check out the Settings menu, there is an option for precisely this use-case. |

Is there an alternate way of getting into said menu? the screwdriver/wrench button isn't working on either of my launchers

It is nothing more than a dressed up way of adding a page of advertising with the default load switched 'on'.

Whats more annoying is that after this release I can only have 2 clients open. Open the 3rd and the game slows down to absolute slush. Before the patch I could have 4 open without problem. |

For CCP's benefit, none of the links work. There is an issue with something shared on C directory. When I got it working on Tranquility, it corrupted Sis. A repair and they both work. I have it turned off right now on both because it's doing some strange muliple client launch thing when I hit play and while it will open the clients it wouldn't actually let me log in to them. I was getting hopscotch login where only the last client stayed on and the older ones were dropped. With it closed except for updates I am running as before. |

There's a bug in 1.05 relating to client directories which have both a hyphen in the path name, and contain a .patch file. The work-around is to remove one or the other. This has been fixed in 1.06, which is currently on SISI. Hope that helps. |

Foundations leads to houses I eagerly await easy sisi setup from the launcher and the launcher keeps all the builds seperate from each other (as far too often I try to connect to sisi from my eve shortcut and it patches all tranq into sisi or vice versa.)

Just proves how shortsighted you are. Have you seen the new player friendly links in there? That alone has a chance to keep 50% more newbs in game. If population grows then **** I don't mind even some huge ass ad bilboards next to every gate. |

So people who have multiple clients won't come to the forums and complain like you do about why you have to launch the launcher several times and then click play to launch multiple clients.

The installer seems to update very slowly..... Is this being addressed. Ive been waiting long enough to think of writing this reading the forum and then making this post. Then got a performance alert eve online launcher is using a lot of CPU. Hopefully it speeds up a little bit thanks CCP. Hopefully my feedback is positive and it can be addressed as useful. |

Great job on the launcher. I'm liking it. You guys covered a lot of options there. I think it's probably important to point out to people that the settings are there and to explore them thoroughly!

The first run of the Launcher checksums your client directory in order to determine which files require patching. This information is cached for later use, so later patches should be much faster than this initial one. Thanks for your patience. |

So I had these 2 shortcuts to run 2 clients made on a folder and its virtual copy. Worked great, 2 types of overviews and all that.
Then a Launcher comes along, I click one of the links it pops up, starts patching... I open settings turn a few things, click hide etc. After patching I click the big PLAY and a normal client launches... okay, so I close it and click on both my old shortcuts and MAGIC! NO LAUNCHER! :) Just the old client normally starting. :D |

On the Launcher's first run, we checksum your client directory to know which files require patching. This information is cached for later runs, but unfortunately, your first run is likely to take a while. Thanks for your patience. |

Seems that having a shortcut to the EVE.EXE itself bypasses the launcher... Or its just that I disabled so that it only runs when patching is needed... I guess |

By tailoring do you mean dressing up characters in the nex store?
I appreciate the responses on this issue but the fact that a lot of them immediately turn scripted whenever difficult questions are asked only serves to **** people off, oh and fix your swear filter.

it seems really strange that I can't type in my login info into the launcher and load right to the character select screen.
Infact, it would be sweet if we could actually select a character to log directly into from the new launcher. This of course would need character info, so it would only show up after you have logged in once already.
It also seems very odd that I had to download a patch with the launcher, and then another patch once I loaded into the login screen. |

This near the top of our roadmap, but there are quite few moving pieces involved . |

Would we lose the animated login screen? I love that :( Would totally break my heart.
If you can login optionally... that's cool, but losing the animated login would be losing a trademark of EVE.
