Edit: I tried the search function but, dare I say it, it wasn't particularly productive...

Unless you're hunting ISK Farmers in Angymonne, where they can Ice all day (five systems within two jumps, with 1-2 ice fields per system) in NPC Corps, and have NO backup.
For extra enjoyment, steal Ice in an Industrial, with a Warp Disruptor and one Gun of choice. It's always fun (and a huge surprise!) to the NPC guy who mistakenly takes Ice out of YOUR can... ...and then loses his Itty V!

Some people think can flippers are completely immoral "newbs" who couldn't hack it in low-sec or null-sec (meaning they prefer not hammering nails into their genitals.)
Well it IS true, we don't enjoy mutilating our genitals with hammers and nails. BUT, good can flippers are professional and well-mannered individuals who know when to avoid an engagement, when to steal ore and when to just swap the cans and then obliterate the ore. I lied, the only real solution is ALWAYS the latter. Destroy the ore EVERY time so the miners will fly off in their rusty chum bucket barges and come back in a freshly fitted battleship that their two month prebuscent body has no business being in. E-RAGE has such an effect that many of these people may forget to even fit their ship according to the engagement. I can't remember how many times I've seen pilots WTZ on me with rails fitted and no webs on their shiny new rokh. Getting fights with ore thievery is all about the head games. Use their incompetence to your advantage and let them think you are indeed, "TEH SCUK" so that they bring the good toys out to play.
By the way, always fly smaller than your opponent. Less cost, more glory. Personal favorites are the rifter and punisher.

How do you flip cans if they're all secure containers? I haven't seen anyone parking unsecured containers around in high or low-sec space.

So you put his ore into your can and blow up up. But what does that do? Wouldn't it just mean he lost his ore? Or does he get in trouble?
It gets him into trouble if he happens to be part of a chinese sweat shop with a minimum ore quota per day ;X
I've apparently been the cause of two chinese ore farmers getting killed (either in real life or just in game, in their corp, I dunno - was hard to understand their ceo[s])

Well, I must say the general standard of reply has been pretty high, so thanks everyone. Lots of useful stuff to be going on...personally, I've been running Level 4 missions for months now with my eyes pretty much closed, and something new would re-energise my passion for EVE.
I think, too, half the reason I would be doing it would be for the amusing chatter in local. I shall be embarking upon thisnew facet of my career soon

Few things to remember;
- Use a T1 frigate, makes you look like a nice snack - fit for tanking, you have to stay alive long enough to deal with the drones. DPS really isn't important - be in control of the scenario, know if he has corpies in local, run your scanner if he has, always be aligned and make the BM's as I explained in my earlier post - be paranoid :)

If you run multiple accounts, you can have one char flip the ore in a frig, and another char ready nearby in a pvp ship of your choice. When the miner's corpies rescue the stolen ore, they will be flagged to your pvp character (if both your characters are in the same corp)
This is a good way to retain complete control of the situation, not get blobbed by all the miner's corpies at once, and rack up some nice lol fit BS kills (3 neutrons, 5 mining lasers on a Mega)
