Just a random question from 'ol Jim. How many combat ships do you keep stashed away to feel comfortable to PvP constantly before stopping to grind more ISK?
I have too few and I think that contributes to my hesitance to leave my butt flapping in the wind if you will, but curious what the more experienced warriors here have stashed away....
5? 10? Frigs? BS?

yep 20 to 30 should be good. Make it into several different ships type, 6 tackler frigs, 4 gank bcs, 5 ewar cruisers,... etc.

personally I keep 4 frigates, 1 ewar frig t2, interceptor, 2 t1 cruisers, recon, hac, as my pvp stock.
The rest is liquid isk so that in the event I have to move, or I get that urge to buy something, I can.

At the moment, I have 3 BS (2 for PVP, one for making ISK.), 2 BCs, 5-6 gank cruisers, 4 blackbirds, 10ish throwaway frigates (tacklers), 3 inties, and two stealth bombers.

How many ships you should have in stock depends on where you are.
If, where you are, you can easily replaye the ships and mods you lost, then not much stock is needed.
If, where you are, it takes a lot of time and effort to replace lost ships and mods, then your stock needs to be bigger.

currently I keep
moneymakers 2 Destroyers, if I manage to lose one(came close recently when I laged out in a mission but not enough to boot me offline) I intend to replace that first, 1 Salvagdes for when I get the skills for it
other. . . one Burst, one Breacher and one probe that I keep around for god only knows why
PvP?
a "survival tanked" rifter a gate tackler rifter
3 difernet "pre fitted" rifter setups (dont have the skills for them yet so I tossed the modules into their cargo and parked the ships in the next station over from my base so I dont pick them up accidentaly) along with a slasher, and a Vigil that im tinkering with the idea of making into a cloaked weber

I have about 12-15 usually. 3 BS, 3 BC, 5 or so ceptors and a nano-fag ship sitting there if no-one else is logged on.
